I cannot believe Sam's Club still allows this product to be sold in their stores. I used for about 2 years and got big brown patches in the bottom of my pool. I spent $100's on cleaners and tools and still could not get out. No one could figure where these spots were coming from. I was checking stock and I saw the reviews here and I have the same problem as many others. I am back to the pool store to pay $2 more a bag for the best product for my pool and chlorinator. I am shocked that a product to help clean your pool is doing this type of damage and this has gone on for so long....

Solid product with brand name!

This product didn't raise the salt level in the pool and left a red stain on the bottom. I put 8 bags in and the salt level only increased from 1000 to 1800. Will never buy this product again. Saved $2-$3 dollars per bag but at what cost.

This is very impure salt. I bought it because I liked how quickly it dissolved, but now regret it. I noticed after several clumps sat on the bottom, they left brown stains behind. This happened several times before I realized it. I will not be buying it again.

I have used this salt for 3 seasons without any problems! I have an above ground pool; 12' x 24' x 52" with a liner. YOU MUST ADD SALT TO YOUR POOL "1st" - BEFORE ADDING ANY OTHER CHEMICALS!! ** This will ensure that you WILL NOT have any chemical reactions with other chemicals .. ie., metals

Great product for our salt water pool. I have used a number of different brands and the Clorox brand is the best. When you add the salt it immediately dissolves into the pool to quickly enter the filtration system. With the other brands, I had to use the pool brush to break up clumps of salt and sweep it for minutes to get it to dissolve. I highly recommend the Clorox brand.

Put my first 40 lb bag in and overnight turned pool liner yellow brown iodine color. Read the other reviews. Apparently others are having the problem with this salt. Supposedly metal impurities. The company should be paying for the cleanup or new liners.

I bought one bag to supplement my pool a week after opening. The chemistry (chlorine, ph, etc) in my in-ground fiberglass pool was great, but my salt chlorinator showed my salt content was a tad low. I added one bag of this salt, and overnight my pool went from being super clear where I could see the bottom, 6 ft down, to green, brown and cloudy with 1 ft visibility. The weather was in the upper 50s, with no rain, and I added no other chemicals at the same time, so the only thing different was this salt. I had previously always used Morton's with absolutely no problems, and will do so again. I wish I had read these other reviews before I purchased it.
