Pomegranate, 4 ct.

The pomegranates available at SAMs are great taste and also available in great size and price . Every week we purchase one carton . My husband and daughter love those. I can not find those anywhere of that freshness,taste and price.

Pomegranates are a pain in the butt to peel and separate the seeds (arils) but the effort is well worth it.  They are so much fresher than the seeded cups and much cheaper too.  Each fruit is HUGE so you also get many more seeds than in the cups.

Worth the effort!

I have purchased Pom pomegranates at Sam's Club for as long as I've been a member and always looked forward to them as a seasonal treat, but this year has been very disappointing. At over $12 for a crate of just four pomegranates, I expected much better quality. Of the four, only two were edible; the others looked fine on the outside but were a strange grayish‑brown color inside once I cut them open, so they had to be thrown away. This happened on two separate purchase dates, and both times I bought two crates, so it does not seem like a one‑time issue. For the price, I can't justify buying them again unless the quality improves.

Too Expensive for Spoiled Fruit

I bought these to make a fruit salad. I used 2 pomegranate, 2 satsumas, 2 pears, 1 cup of grapes cut in half, 1/2 cup coconut, 1/2 cup small marshmallows & 1/2 lemon squeezed to pour over mixture. I made it the day before Thanksgiving so the flavors could marinate. My family enjoyed & it was a lovely addition to the meal. The rest of the pomegranates were used in fruit smoothies.
