I like the soil. I have used for several yrs. The tree stuff keeps it lighter weight. I add 1/2 bag of perlite to each bag. Mix in a large covered container. I add sevin granules and mosquito bits to each container to stop gnats or any other bugs. None of the bagged potting soil is perfect. U have to work with it. Add what helps yur plants. I only use for my outside plants. I my the frog stuff for indoor plants. I also add some frog stuff with the sams brand also.

I have been growing my own plants for 30 plus years. This is the worst planting mix I have ever bought. I need to repot my entire greenhouse because this stuff won’t absorb water. I wish I had read the reviews before wasting my time with this product. I don’t know how you can call it Potting Mix Planting Soil if it’s going to kill your plants because they can’t get any water.

I purchased two bags of this Member's Mark Potting Mix. Contrary to some reviews I had read, the mix in my bags was finely ground and dark brown with no sticks, roots, or chunks of wood. I had no problem using it to fill pots in which I have planted cuttings, rooted plants, and seeds for my spring planting outside. The product is holding water as well or a bit better than the Miracle Grow product I have used for years. All I have added is a small amount of fertilizer and Epsom salt - as I normally do with the Miracle Grow product. For some plants such as Camellias, you may want the coarser Miracle Grow product. Still, I am quite happy with this Member's Mark product, and I am seeing rapid growth using it.

This is a nice "potting mix"...not "potting soil". It has a nice chunky consistency that would work well for things that like better drainage, while still holding moisture. I absolutely love the smell! (it's like a pine forest) since it contains lots of pine bark, this will be very beneficial to acid rich soil lovers.

Looks like wood and shredded cardboard. My tomatoe seedling wouldn't grow in it.

No soil. Just wood chips and coir. No seeds can sprout in this. The establish saplings won't grow.

I have lots of grass growing in all of the pots that I used this in.

This potting mix is awful 😖. Full on sticks, more like a mulch. Will not buy again

It's ground up mulch for twelve bucks when last year was nine.and actually soil.

Potting soil was worst ever. Dried out and plants were dying. Needed to replant all the pots using a different brand potting soil.
