I bought 2 bags of this moisture control potting soil and loved how well my plants did with it, I bought 2 more.

The potting mix consistency is very good compared to others. I'm very happy with the quality and will definitely buy several others

I mixed a bag of this with name brand garden soil and it worked great. Only problem was that I didn’t have enough to use in all of my pots

Very poor quality. In no way compares to Miracle-Gro Moisture Control. Way too many stick and wood pieces - so,so many. Dries out exceedingly fast. Will not purchase again.

I was so excited to try this potting soil with all of my new plants I just recently purchased. It is basically large chunks of bark and extremely lightweight and really no soil to it. I am shocked at how bad this is!

The Member's Mark Potting Mix Planting Soil is exactly what I'm looking for in a potting soil primarily because it's a large size bag and the soil contains a great fertilizer content which feeds my plants for up to 6 months, giving them that extra boost. I also love that this soil has a wonderful high-quality texture which helps make watering easier while also helping roots grow and spread. This is a fantastic potting soil that will make my plants happy and I highly encourage this soil to others.

Sam’s has decided to not sell Miraclegro moisture control soil this year and has instead replaced it with a Member’s Mark version. This knock off is poor quality soil. At least 1/3 of it is wood pieces. It doesn’t help retain moisture at ALL. Don’t waste your time and money. Your plants will suffer in this mix. Funny. This review at the bottom which asks for photos will not allow me to upload any.

Looking at the pics in the reviews makes me think I got a bad bag. Mine looks like a chipped up tree with a little soil thrown in. more of a reddish brown even after watering. Im usually all about the members mark product but not this time. please bring back the Miracle Grow version. Will be returning to store. Not everything needs to be duplicated.

Very disappointed. This mix had lots of wood chunks. It was more like a mulch mix than potting soil. I was planning on using it to up-pot seedlings. I have actually used three different products so far this year and this one actually molded on the surface of the pots and now I have fungus gnats. The other two mixes have been fine. This product may work better for larger containers that will remain outdoors but not a good fit for enclosed greenhouse.

I don't expect a potting soil to be perfect, smooth ... like a seed starting soil, but this was way too far off to be acceptable. Big pieces of wood and LOTS of smaller pieces of wood. This is 3/4 potting soil, 1/4 forest wood flooring. I won't buy it again.
