For our company holiday party, I used our year round fund raiser money to buy gift cards as employee appreciation. The Red Robins and Buffalo Wild Wings gift cards that I bought were not activated like the other reviewer. One of the coworkers finally told me about their experiences back in late Jan/early February when they tried to use the gift cards. The servers told them that the cards were not activated and offered to throw away for them. I ended up checking all Red Robins and BWW gift cards and all 18 cards had zero values on them with the PIN still not scratched off.

The $5 gift card is not a gift card. It's highly restricted and is not the same as a gift card. It can only be used at participating restaurants which is not the case with regular gift cards. It can't be used for alcohol or tips. This is also different to the regular gift card. Sams Club is not doing anything about it. Their support is worthless for this. Now I am stuck with $5 cards I can't use as intended.
