Frequently moldy

The strawberries at Sams Club are frequently moldy, especially the Driscoll-brand ones. We stopped buying them from Sams several months ago for this very reason. Last week I was at Sams, and just for fun I picked up a package, peered into the bottom, and saw white, fuzzy mold. I picked up another package, turned it over, and again saw mold. I left the packages upside-down for others to see. This quality problem makes no sense because at all other stores, Driscoll brand berries sell for a premium. Maybe Sams is purchasing Driscoll's old stock. In any event, you're not getting what you pay for, and you're better off buying your berries from other markets.

Verified Purchase

I ordered these online for Valentines Day because of the fear of them being sold out. I normally go to Sams because they usually have the best strawberries and the brand is always Driscoll. Well I don’t know what happened this go round but they were small and more burgundy than red. I make treats and could not use these strawberries at all for my Valentine orders. And the brand was not Driscoll it was some brand I never heard of. I was disappointed.

Worst Strawberries I Have Bought.

The strawberries were only red on the side that was showing. The side under was completely white. They tasted unripe and just plain awful. They were harvested too early. I do not appreciate the fact that the white side was completely hidden from view even from the back side. You only find out they were unripe right when you go to wash them.

No one has strawberries like Sam's Club!

First off Driscolls grows the best strawberries but I'm pretty sure Sam's Club is in cahoots with them because not only does Driscoll's make the best strawberries but the best of the best go to Sam's Club! I literally don't buy my strawberries from anywhere else. We buy two cartons a week and we eat two every single week they're the best! We have toddlers if you were curious how we go through two tubs a week lol

Rotten and moldy

Delivery from store order...I purchased two containers. Both containers were full of rotten moldy berries. They were leaking all over the place so I know the people (employees, pickers and driver) were aware these were no good. I am so disgusted and tired of receiving less than edible food from both Sams club and Walmart. No one cares and changes are not made even after I have have made several calls .

Check your strawberries

This is in S Florida where it is strawberry season, and these berries are from a Florida grower. My curbside order included strawberries - once home, I discovered the top layer was red strawberries, but all those beneath were not white than red (they are not pineberries), and they are not sweet - money wasted again. Oops, didn't realize they wanted a picture - I already threw them asway. Soo disappointing, Sams Club!

Some Good, Some Gross!

I expect high-quality and these are NOT! Some very small ones some white instead of ripe fruit and then I cut into some that were rotten brown look like they had worms in them or something. I have no idea and if someone can tell me what that nasty crap is in the very center. I have no idea but it looks disgusting. It looks like white mold growing on something. I have no idea it's about to gag me.

Mold and bad strawberries

usually we love buying strawberries at Sam's but this last time while picking out the strawberries at the store I found a ton of packages with mold. I told the worker in the cooler and he said okay. I went back three days later to get a few things we forgot and those same strawberries with mold were still for sale. I won't be purchasing any more strawberries from Sam's. Absolutely ridiculous to allow this product to be sold with mold on it.

Fresh, Sweet, and Always a Hit

These strawberries were incredibly fresh, bright red, and perfectly ripe. They were sweet and juicy right out of the container with no mushy or underripe ones. They lasted several days in the fridge and were great for snacking, smoothies, and topping yogurt. Sam's Club consistently delivers great quality and value with their produce, and these strawberries are no exception. Will definitely keep buying! 🍓

Terrible taste like water bought end of March

Very disappointed! Sam's always has best strawberries and I was so excited when I seen how low the price was now that spring is here! I bought 4 boxes!! They taste like water - absolutely tasteless - very disappointed! I've never ate one in my life that is red and ripe and tasteless!!
