Interior mold

I'm someone who carefully looks at produce I'm buying and I thought I picked a good clamshell of strawberries. Unfortunately, when I got home and opened it, there was mold in the middle interior ruining the entire 2 pounds. What a waste of money and disappointment. Driscoll has definitely lowered their product quality. I do not recommend buying.

Bad Strawberries

I purchased these May 14th. Next day took out of fridge to dip in chocolate and most were bad. We got about 6 off the top cutting bad places off but what was left tasted like chemicals, wasn't worth eating. I would have returned if I didn't live so far away. We've always loved Sam's club fruits and vegetables.

Oh no

I buy these often. I don't know what was up with this batch I purchased on March 29, 2024, but my family & I took a few bites & immediately noticed a disgusting taste. They tasted like grass. If they were sprayed with pesticides I'm sure we tasted it. I wasn't sure if it was the yogurt pretzels I ate right before eating the strawberry so I got my husband who didn't eat the yogurt pretzels to give the strawberry a try. He tried it & immediately went to the trash to spit it out. I unfortunately had to throw the whole container in the trash. Yes I cleaned the strawberries before consuming. It wasn't what I cleaned it with because my other fruit blackberries were fine. Plus I use this method of cleaning all the time. Thanks to this my kids got turned off by strawberries so much they all said the hate strawberries & asked me not to buy them again. Buy NO strawberries again. Well that sucks. They used to like strawberries.

Strawberries-disgusting

I just bought these yesterday. I was getting ready to cut them up with other fruit. I have my own fruit salad. I bought some a week ago. Those were very good. I thought that the price was cheap, $4.16, that they wouldb't be good? They were good. Yesterday however, i paid $4.59??? I finished the strawberries i bought a week ago. I was getting ready to cut them, but they were moldy! I guess i'm going to be returning them. It's happened before. I went to a different store. I guess i might go somewhere else. I took a picture, but i won't be able to use it as there's no option for that. I wonder why?

Terrible. Mold on them when picked up.

This is twice in a row that I have picked up 2- 2 lbs of strawberries that were awful! Some already had mold on them. I figured the first time may have been a fluke, but having it happen twice isn't a fluke. Even thought I put the strawberries in a specialty produce container, to keep fresher than without it, they still got bad and moldy very fast. Unacceptable.

Great, Large & Fresh

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the strawberres. I've bought strawberries elsewhere and they always start going bad in just a couple of days. I live by myself and buy two of these at a time and they're still good after a week. Nice and large and tasty!

Poor Produce

I have bought 2 or more packs of these strawberries at least once a week for the past six months which makes approximately 24 packs. Out of these numbers, I have only found 2 packs that didn't have a rotted and or molded product stuck in the middle of the pack where you couldn't see from top or bottom of the package. This is becoming a problem with most of the produce in the local store. You would think that there would be better quality standards and vendor selections at the Corporate level to insure that customers are getting what they paid for.

The BEST!

These are the most wonderful strawberries. They are consistently fresh, ripe and oh so tasty and sweet. Strawberries I've bought elsewhere fall flat compared to these. I buy two every week as long as they are in season and in stock. Never been disappointed.

Stinky Fruit!

I kept wondering where the smell was coming from. Smells like rotting meat. Idk if Driscoll or Sam's are spraying these berries to make them look fresh or what but they stink like hell. It's like someone sprayed strawberry perfume on chicken that's been sitting in the Sun. Only reason it got 1 star was because they LOOK fresh.

Percentage of Moldy Strawberries On The Rise

My wife likes to prepare the breakfast at my house. I've been getting 2-pound containers of strawberries at Sam's for years. For the past year my wife has been telling me that many times the berries are moldy. I try my best to inspect the containers but for some reason the mold often seems hidden inside the layers. The last three purchases were not good - more than half of the berries couldn't be eaten. One more disappointment and I'll not be having strawberries anymore since I don't go to any other stores. I can't expect my wife to have to sort through a bunch of moldy berries every morning.
