This is the 3rd Thermacell product I've purchased. The mosquitoes have been horrendous this year. I've spent most evenings and weekends outside rebuilding a boat this summer. My choices were spraying myself with stinky stuff or using the Thermacells. It was a no brainer. I place 2 units - one on each end of my work area and am able to work until dark rarely ever seeing one of those nasty buggers.

This review will likely never be posted because I found therma cell useless I bought this 2 weeks ago and used it according to directions. After allowing it to warm up for 30 min I was quickly swarmed by mosquitos with them even landing on the unit. I do not recommend this product as it does not work as they promised .

I just had my patio poured and was looking forward to sitting out there enjoying it, however the mosquito's were running me back into the house. I researched and found Thermacell Repellents and bought one, the first time I used it, no bites, I couldn't believe it. I bought another one.

I purchased this unit in green and one in red yesterday at Canadian Tire. On opening the box we noticed that there was no cover for the thermacell as indicated in the video. How do we get them. I think they would be necessary so that your unit would not get wet in bad weather. I know of others who have bought the same unit and they have a cover. Please inform me on where I can get these covers

Bought this a few weeks ago because we needed a mosquito repellent for our backyard patio. It actually seemed to make the mosquitos worse and my wife and I got bit several times after the first use. We gave it another shot a few nights later and got bit multiple times again. Yes, I read the instructions and made sure that we are using it correctly, even tried a brand new strip. It does not work. I am very disappointed in this product.

I bought this Patio Shield Repeller last summer and I couldn’t believe how good it worked. I can’t be outside without having it on (about 15 minutes before I need it) because mosquitoes love me! When I get bitten it makes a huge swollen welt so without my Thermacell I can’t be outside at all.

Mosquitos are attracted to our family and it is hard for us to enjoy outside but with thermacell patio shield repeller is became possible for us to enjoy the weather without getting bit. It doesn't cover that much of the area but works fine for small areas.

No-See-Ums are worse than mosquitos, in my opinion. I had tried numerous different insect repellants hoping they would be effective against No-See-Ums. Most of them did not work. Some worked very short term & only on me & not the people around me since it was usually a spray that I put on myself. BUT then I found Thermacell. All of their products to keep mosquitos and No-See-Ums away. Not only do they work but they do so for several hours before needing the mat or butane cartridge replaced. And it works for a large area without the need to spray anything on your body. These new Patio Shields work the same as the original Thermacells but the Patio Shields look nicer. I use it at home & when camping.

After purchasing various types of Mosquito repellents, I finally found this Patio Shield from Thermacell . Easy to follow instructions so once I set it up outdoors and wait approximately 15 minutes. The mosquitoes disappeared. I noticed it works better on less windy days. I use it near pool on patio while barbecuing and at the park. It’s worth it!

I was a little skeptical when I saw this product on the shelf. I read the box, decided to try it. I also bought a refill kit at the same time. My Patio Sheild sat on my patio waiting for its first run. Then Hurricane Florence struck NC. Life was put on hold for a couple of weeks, but not for the mosquitoes. It has become a plague of nearly Biblical proportions in NC. Well tonight I brought my Patio Sheild to my sons baseball practice under the lights. Not one bite and I’ve been here for about an hour. Others are spraying Deet like sunscreen on the beach. I got my Patio Sheild in the cup holder of my folding chair. I’m very impressed. The little bloodsuckers fly by but never land. Great job. Thanks for such a wonderful product. Never stop selling the refills.
