Great tire except for miles rating

These tires came OEM on my 2011 Jeep Patriot Sport 2x4. I really liked these tires, except they lasted less than 30K miles, with the last 5K with notable less comfort and handling. The ride was fairly smooth, quiet and I was very impressed the first two winters with the handling. It felt like I was driving a 4WD, without losing the mpg; which was between 26-28 regardless of city or highway. I am now looking to replace my OEM with a 215 65R16 which isn't too different, but has a greater selection throughout.

Seems to be a love hate relationship!

I am driving on original equipment which are Goodyear Eagle LS-2 which people seem to hate when reading on-line reviews, but I have had no issues or problems. I live in Chicago so at times I see all 4 seasons in one week, I am currently at 50K miles with 5/32 tread remaining. I am shopping for tires now because I know 60K will come fast, and I need to be ready. I was hoping to find something better if there is such a thing, but when reading reviews and watching videos there seems to be issues and problems with all tires. (2017 VW Touareg) Show less

Damaged vehicle

Tires are okay for the price. My car was damaged during installation and I am getting nowhere thus far in getting it repaired, little or no correspondence or replies to my communications. My advice, if you use Sam's for installing tires, take extensive pictures so that if you end up in this position you might have a better chance of getting your car repaired, but better yet, go elsewhere.

low mileage tires

The only thing I have to complain about is the mileage. These are the tires that came on the car new. I put a lot of miles on my car and most of them are highway miles. I've kept my tires rotated and balanced. In a year I've put just over 36,500 miles on the car and I'm having to replace the tires already. As far as all other aspects of them, they are great. If you're driving a lot I wouldn't recommend these tires.

Long lasting good tire

These Goodyear Eagle LS2s were OEM on my 2014 Malibu. I currently have 132,000 miles on this set of tires. Most of my mileage is highway driving and I am not an aggressive driver in turns and corning. The wear indicators are about to show on my tires and now in the last 5,000 miles I have noticed a little wobble in the steering wheel at times and I know it's because these tires are almost done. The tires have provided really good tread life. I have not had any problems with separation or wear. All the tires show an even wear pattern across the tread of the tire even now. I do follow the recommended tire pressures for my car and I have the tires rotated every 7,500 miles. They have always felt good to me and predictable in cornering and wet weather. In Texas we do not have a winter so I cannot rate how they do in snow. For the life of the tire it has always been a solid performer in my book. I was very surprised and pleased with how they have performed over the years. I would recommend.

Eagle LS2 - 25K treadwear warranty?

Came with my new car - 2018 Ford Fusion AWD - 23,000 miles later & they are done. Not an aggressive driver at all so quite shocked these need to be replaced at this point. I know the LS2 is a base model Goodyear tire but just unacceptable after so few miles. Not impressed.

My tires of choice

I have purchased these tires for my Silverado pickup twice and I love them so when my sons car needed tires it was a no brainer. We put them on his car and he is just as impressed with them as I was. They ride beautifully and are whisper quiet not to mention the traction and handling.

WORN OUT AFTER 17K

WHEN NEW THIS WAS A TERRIFIC TIRE. I CURRENTLY HAVE 17K ON MY SEDAN AS AN OLDER DRIVER I CAN ASSURE YOU I DO NOT DRIVE AGGRESSIVELY. THE TIRES AT THIS POINT HAVE 4 /32 OR 5/32 ON THEM AND THE DRIVE WHEELS SPIN AS YOU TURN LEFT OR RIGHT AND ACCELERATE AT A CORNER. HARD TO TRUST THEM IN BAD WEATHER AT THIS POINT. I WOULD HAVE THROUGHT I'D GET AT LEAST 30K OUT OF THIS TIRE.

Need to Replace

These were OEM tires that came with the car that I now need to replace after only 34.5k miles. Won't really miss them. Though handling and cornering performance in both dry and wet driving conditions is acceptable, they are noisy and harsh and obviously wear out quickly.

Average tire for a good price

Tire comes stock on a lot of vehicles (including my 2015 Subaru Legacy). OK for the relatively cheap price. Winter traction was subpar/poor on the originals with only 25,000 miles on them. Would easily and often break traction on even marginally contaminated surfaces and braking action was just plain bad. And this is on an all-wheel-drive vehicle. Replaced originals with same tire at 30,000mi as I blew out front right due to road debris. At low mileage (< 5,000mi) they seem to perform adequately in summer conditions although they do not feel as 'surefooted' on wet surfaces (often feels like they're going to break loose). If money is not an issue, spend the extra $25 a tire and go up a level in terms of performance and especially traction.
