They are used in an apartment in NYC. Crazy small windows. They installed easily, they look fantastic and they completely cool the aprartment. I say they as I installed 2. Very happy with the whole process, from ordering, delivery, installation and how they work.

We have a kitchen/living room area with a huge, arched ceiling. Any air conditioner powerful enough to cool the area was too big for our windows. Enter Windmill. It kept us cool during the current heat wave caused by the global warming that many idiots still claim doesn't exist, and it looks great. A friend saw ours and immediately ordered one for herself. Thanks for such an excellent product, guys.

The windmill ac is quiet (whisper quiet!). It looks great and operates smoothly. I had a little trouble with the unit on delivery. The compressor was a little loud. So customer service helped replace it really quickly; it happened again, but they replaced it again and gave me some perks as a consolation. I’m confident the issue was in the shipment not the units itself, but the team at Windmill was super supportive and quick to help. Love the units we have and so happy at how quiet they are.

Really excellent AC for city apartments - I was able to haul it up my walkup and install it myself very easily. Design and efficiency super nice, the 8000 and 6000 BTU units cool and dehumidify my rooms really well. Customer support is amazing if you have any issues. However, the newer app needs work

Let’s face it! The heat is not cool, specially when you are in a tiny room with a lot of work to do! This saved me, literally, I feel more productive and less grumpy, plus it was soooo easy to install that I did it myself, a person who knows nothing about installations, give it a try you wont regret it!

It is a fine looking A/C. It was easy to set up but it has had some glitches with the wifi. The order for the replacement (the 1st machine had a loud hum sound) shipped very fast. I had it in 2-3 days. It’s sound is much softer than the original. It’s not entirely whisper quiet, but it’s not too loud either. I’m satisfied. I don’t regret my purchase.

We purchased this window-air conditioning unit to supplement our central air conditioning that can't really compete with our sun-soaked main bedroom. It has been great! I cools off the room quickly at night and enables us to get a nice long sleep without being waken up by our baking room. It can be controlled by either a phone app or the remote control - which has been handy. The installation process was quick (probably less than 30 minutes) with two people and the air conditioner had really easy to understand instructions and included everything you need to install (except a drill, if you're going to drill holes to secure the air conditioner).

My initial Windmill AC that I purchased broke after a year of owning it. I contacted Windmill and their customer service was excellent along with their product warranty. They ended up sending me a replacement AC unit. Though I wish the product didn’t break from the get go, good customer service is extremely valuable. Their AC unit is awesome, cools down a large space quickly, sleek looking and you can control it via their app. Would highly recommend Windmill and their product.

Instructions aren’t incredibly clear. They do not show the foam pieces when you are trying to install the side panels. The foam prevents the panels from fully covering the sides. The bottom piece where you screw in the bottom portion of the panel into your window sill should also be much longer. Ours was incredibly close to the edge of the window and the screw almost didn’t make it in. The AC unit looks nice and modern, and having an app to control it is very convenient. I don’t think it is as silent as advertised. It kind of sounds like any other AC unit.

I'll keep this brief: - The AC itself is genuinely beautiful -- neat and clean and (downside) it makes you realize how unattractive other air conditioners are. - Installation guide is comprehensive and easy to follow -- and installation itself isn't that hard. (Just make sure you have all the tools lined up.) - The AC is, indeed, very quiet -- a pleasant Shhhhh. Much quieter than my old one, though right now there's a slight rattle because my window's a bit loose and I haven't figured out how to tighten it all down. Yet. - The air flow, diagonally out the top, not from the front, just works better. - I don't love the "add AC to your WiFi/download app/sign up/etc.," but I understand most folks will see that as a good thing. For me, just a lot of steps for...?
