Easy to Install. cools the room. I haven't had other units in that room, so I can't rate the noise one way or the other.

I just installed my 2nd Windmill AC

As much as I wanted to really like this ac, it was extremely loud whenever the compressor turned on to the point where it would rattle and shake my bedroom windows. I could never get used to it so I had to return it. The return was easy at least

This Windmill air conditioner might cost more than others but it has an Energy Star which many other air conditioners don't have.  So it costs less to use.  It is also much quieter than other brands.  It might have been easier to install but like all window air conditioners it is heavy and requires two people to set in the window.
