My spouse and I were nervous about spending so much money on a mattress. My spouse has a history of severe back issues and no mattress ever worked for them just right. They would often wake up with significant back pain. We finally decided to take the chance on the TEMPER- after failed attempts with traditional mattresses, and a box mattress. We both could not be happier. This mattress is a dream come true. My spouse does not wake up with back pain anymore. Both of us can come to bed knowing we are gonna get the best nights sleep possible. I have never looked forward to coming to bed so much. It is nice and firm (firmest bed I've ever owned,) my body feels supported and comfortable every night. I can't recommend this bed enough.

My wife and I got our mattress 2 days ago and we've had 2 of the worst nights of sleep that we've had in a very long time. This mattress is supposed to be soft but it's extremely hard and you can't get comfortable laying on it and it's supposed to keep you cool but my legs were very warm so I had to sleep without a sheet over me.. I guess we are stuck with this horrible mattress for 30 days before we can get something else. One other thing I never realized was the edge has no support at all so it's a bit hard to sit on the edge comfortably.

I am enjoying my comfortable Tempurpedic bed. The salesperson helped us pick out the right softness/firmness and it's great. I don't wake up with any backaches and I no longer need to use my thick mattress topper. I highly recommend the adjustable split-king. It helps cut way down on snoring and there is virtually no transfer of movement with my spouse getting in and out of bed which used to wake me all the time. I love my bed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have only had for a week, I have noticed big improvement in comfort. My wife is still adjusting to firm more time will tell whether we will have to change hers to less firm. She was having back discomfort due to arthritis.

I have a bad back and for the last 6 months have difficulty just getting out of bed. There have been times where my wife has had to help me. The Luxe Adapt Firm mattress foam has softened causing my spine to dip. The sag is minimal and not meeting the 3/4" criteria on the 2 1/2-year-old mattress and our warranty claim was rejected. I'm not sure what I am going to do. We purchased individual mattresses my wife wanted the colling / softer mattress which she loves. I am an engineer and can tell the density of foam has weakened.

We bought our first tempur-pedic over 16 years ago. We decided to get another newer model with an adjustable base this time. We have the older one your grandson. The adjustable base is heaven and so is the mattress. My wife and I are both in our mid 50's and we love the comfort, support and rest we get with Tempur-pedic mattress. It does take 30 to 45 days to break it in. I know that sounds crazy but it is true. Give yourself at least that long to break it in and then you to will be dreaming all night long. Happy sleeping!

Not one to write reviews but read several during my research of this mattresses and took them with a grain of salt. We have owned the original Tempur Pedic mattress (the one that came without different softness levels. You just ordered it by which size you wanted and I guess they just cut a slab of material). We had that mattress for years and after breaking it in from its rock hard state it became quite comfortable. As the years pasted (at least 15) I began to have problems with my shoulders as I sleep on my side. Finally decided to purchase a new mattress. My wife did not want to replace the one we had even though it was long over due as she said it was fine for her. We both had concerns that we may end up with an expensive mattress that was uncomfortable but my lack of sleep pushed me forward. I was about to purchase one of the existing Tempur mattress when a friend of mine told me wait a few weeks as they were releasing a new line. The Tempur Lux-Adapt. He said "Its a whole new animal". Taking his word i waited the 3-4 more weeks (guessed he should know as he was a manager at one of the local mattress stores) and said he tried them out at some show. When the beds arrived at our local furniture (didnt purchase the bed from my friend, sorry buddy) store they had the Lux-Adapt in firm and medium. Since our old Tempur mattress was firm and that was also what the Mrs liked I purchased that in a king size along with the Ergo-Extend base. Let me tell you the reviews were right. This mattress is prefect. I'll repeat what I read in other reviews that we really cant wait to get into bed. Its that comfortable. The Lux-Adapt in firm has just the right amout of compression. You conform to about 3-4 inches is my best guess and then you dont continue to sink further. I am six feet tall and weigh 175 pounds and my wife is small and weighs about 100-105 pounds. The bed is comfortable for both of us. she loves it and I constantly remind her that it was my idea! I am getting great REM sleep again after years of tossing and turning due to shoulder discomfort. Fantastic! The only down side some may find is that it sleeps a little warmer that our original tempur pedic. Probably due to the fact that it comforms better. The only other complaint I have is that I bought a second remote for the Ergo-Extend base only to find out you can only use one programmed remote at a time. This is something that needs to be resolved. A bed at this price point and size you should not have to be crawling to the other side to get the remote out from the bedside caddy. We have two TV remotes on each side of the bed just for this reason. Guess its some liability issue the attorneys told them about. Dont want the Mrs to ask you to get something from under the bed that she dropped only to have her lower it down on you! LOL. Seriously this is a software issue and can surely be fixed. Doing so will make the base more easily usable. Not everyone gets in bed at the same time and dont want to have to hunt for remotes. All and all only minor complaints. Literally loving the bed and the great comfortable sleep we're getting. So glad we made the change and glad I took my friends advice and waited for these new mattresses to arrive. If you are considering a memory foam mattress you have to try out a Tempur Pedic, yes they are costly but they last. Considering how much good night's sleep worth and the length of time we spend in bed annually it can be money well spent.

My hubby and I just bought our first house, literally everything we had before moving in, was hand downs. We went to shop for our bedroom set & initially were just going to get the mattress that came with, until we realized how important it is to have a great nights rest. We tried dozens of mattresses, and fell in love with the LuxeAdapt!!! Holy moly our body's don't create any indentations, the settings are amazing. We're so thrilled and will be tempurpedic customers for life!!

Before we bought our TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt Soft we would both wake up at least once or twice a night tossing and turning. Our Tempurpedic has totally changed that and we can finally sleep through the night and get a solid 7 hours of sleep. Not only does it help us sleep through the night we wake up actually feeling like we've gotten a great night's sleep because we have!

I have always been told to sleep on a firm mattress by doctors and chiropractors, but with my progressive Osteoarthritis it became painful to sleep at night. I decided to purchase a soft Tempur-Pedic, and I am loving it! I have restful sleeps, and the only joint pain I experience is from oversleeping when I don't want to leave my luxurious bed in the morning, LOL. My Tempur-Pedic is beautifully made and even though is soft, is very supportive and gentle on my shoulders and hips. I am very satisfied with my purchase and strongly recommend this bed.
