We absolutely love this bed! Prior to this we had bought a "memory foam" bed on line that was suppose to be amazing (little to no reviews, no one heard of it) and what ended up happening is, it was not good enough! I would get out of bed and my whole body ached! I thought, "I guess this is what old feels like" (I'm 30 years old). My husband stands on his feet all day and would complain of back pain, again we assumed it was being over weight and getting old (he's 33). To our surprise the bed was firmer than the show model and took some getting used to, maybe 5 nights. I immediately noticed a difference when I woke up and stood up from the bed, no pain, and no aches! I feel completely young again! My husband hasn't had back pain since! He has more energy now and we could not be happier! We would recommend this type of bed for everyone! There is a reason why they are the best and we now know, we cant put a price a good sleep! My experience at this store was beyond excellent if there was 10 stars I would give it to that store.Mike the manager at this store sold the bed to my wife and I he is very knowledgeable about the product .He knew everything there was to know about all of the temperpedic line.I love my bed very much.

I tested several Tempur-Pedic mattresses in store and determine the ProAdapt Soft model best suited my needs. The mattress was delivered this week and unfortunately, it's much more firm than the model I tested at the store. In fact, it is more firm than my old mattress that I decided to replace due to firmness. I checked the tag to make sure I wasn't accidentally given a medium or firm model, but it says soft. I am giving it the recommended 30 days, but if it does not soften I will ask for a different model or return entirely. My in store experience with the mattress was very high but so far I am disappointed with the mattress I had delivered to my home.

I'm 57 years old and for 25 years I woke up with lower back pain, literately had to grab my knee to get out of bed every single morning. I accepted that it was just going to be that way the rest of my life. My wife talked me into this mattress and i hesitantly went for it. In retrospect, the best move I ever made. Back pain completely gone the first night. It is amazing to wake up and not be in pain. Worth every penny!!

It was nice and plush the first few months. Now it has turned into a brick. I get pain in my heels just laying on my back for 5 minutes. It is ridiculous how bad the pressure point relief is. The worst mattress I've ever used. I get horrible sleep, aches all over no matter the position. And now it has started the flake a white snow when I change the sheets and mattress cover. Probably not good to be inhaling white mattress flakes while I sleep. I would give it zero stars if I could. Do not be lulled in by the initial comfort that will wear out just after the return period ends. What a waste of money.

My husband and I saw immediate improvement in quality of sleep on our first night with the new mattress. Full night sleep, no muscle aches when rising in the morning, less waking up at night with neck and back aches. Immediate comfort when getting to bed at night. We switched from a Sterns and Foster to the Tempur-pedic because my husband was hoping to seek relief from morning back and hip pain after sleeping. He has experienced relief.

I don't have anything bad to say about the mattress, just that I don't get the cooling effect of the mattress with a mattress cover over it. I like to have a mattress cover to protect from the dead skin and bacteria that can get in mattresses, but I've noticed that it completely blocks, at least the cover that I got from the store, the cooling effect that the mattress is supposed to give.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my TEMPUR-ProAdapt Medium Hybrid King Mattress for about two weeks now. I also got the Ergo Extend Adjustable Bass. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I finally get a good nights sleep. I also suffer from acid reflux and often wake up during the middle of the night with it. That hasn't happened since I got my new bed. Having the adjustable base has really made a difference. I was worried that the mattress would sleep warm due to the foam, but that hasn't been an issue. The only negative thing I'd have to say is in regards to the base. Not a big issue but the included USB Ports are located underneath the base and aren't super easy to get to. I've seen other bases where they are on the side and that would make more sense to me. Overall I'm very happy. Yes the bed/base is expensive but in my opinion well worth the money. I'm wishing I would have bought it sooner!

Our base showed up with a tear in the fabric from shipping, they sent out a replacement right away.

The jury remains out on my new Tempur-Pedic mattress. It replaced a hybrid from another manufacturer in its twelfth year of use that developed uncomfortable strike through to the quite firm support layers. The ProAdapt Hybrid was chosen simply because the in-store sample felt the most comfortable among the several hybrids and others on site. Despite the warning of the break-in requirement in the product literature, I found the first few days of use bordering on intolerable. With a week or two of additional use the mattress is becoming better to sleep on and I'm willing to withhold final judgement pending further break-in. I suspect my prior mattress was softer overall (and I'm older and creakier now), but I fondly recall the wonderful, enveloping support it provided during and after break-in. None of the in-store options at Mattress Firm offered this and, in the end, I may pursue adding a topper to try to recapture the feel of the prior mattress.
