Customer reviews for Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-ProAdapt Medium Hybrid Mattress forHot
I love the feel of the bed but it's too hot. I had to use a mattress pad to give me an extra layer between myself and the bed. It did change the feel of the mattress a little, it's firmer but that's ok. I'll sleep on it a few years and I'll probably get something else. I won't get a memory foam bed again.
Best mattress ever
I wavered with my decision to buy this mattress and after opting for a less expensive alternative I knew I had made a terrible mistake. I returned the offending mattress and decided that my comfort is worth the extra cost of a tempurpedic mattress. I'm extremely happy that I went with the pro adapt medium hybrid. My back thanks me every day!
Best Temper-Pedic Mattress for Side Sleepers
I'm very happy with this mattress and I slept good on this Temper ProAdapt Soft mattress. This is recommended mattress for the side sleepers after I did the mattress questionnaire. Only bad thing about it is that the frame has huge staple shape metal frame that hold the mattress at the foot end where I lean on to put on socks or pant. It was so uncomfortable to lean on the foot end of the bed. So now I lean on near the corner instead.
Quality!!!!!!!!!!!
So a couple of things to keep in mind, the mattress takes a while to break in and can sleep warmer than other mattresses. With this in mind, choose appropriate bedding, my wife, and I use cooling sheets and blankets as anyone might in the summertime. After the bed breaks in, it does hug your curves and supports you completely. I have had ours now for two months and feel amazing benefits, no back or neck pain, worth the investment. We have tried other companies that ship in a box, and this is just superior quality and manufacturing. One thing I would like to note is they do have the top cooling layer to their bed with the tight-knit material, but you don't notice when sheets are on, unless you sleep directly on, which I know most would not do as it may void a warranty from stains. I wish Tempurpedic would offer the same quality of knitting for the bed as a sheet or blanket set. Pro is the comfort you will obtain, its truly unlike any other bed and it shows how they made memory foam their own. A con, it's relatively expensive, but its made in the USA and they employ US workers, this means a lot to my family. I suggest this bed for anyone with back pain or special conditions. Perhaps another suggestion I could make is most other companies will offer a full money back warranty with no restocking fees and an extended trial period, Tempurpedic is more conservative compared to others, but, they most likely incur more costs than the others do. Excellent mattress, try it out at a store first before buying, as there are many models. Its all about the right feel for you and your body type/preferences. Great bed, sleeping well! Thank you Tempurpedic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A+ Quality, A+ Comfort, B+ Compatibility
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ProAdept was an amazing option available and recommended to me. I have waited a few months to provide my review to allow my body and mind to adjust to the huge change. I was previously using a very cheap pillowtop mattress. After 3 months, I can say this is the most comfortable mattress I probably could own, unless I get a few tax brackets higher and find a gold plated cloud some how. My one issue is how I am a hot body person and sleep hot compared to most, I need the AC to blast to keep me from sweating at night because the temperature of my body is held by the bed very well and it is a little hard to stay asleep sometimes for that reason. For hot sleepers, I would recommend another option. As far as the softness, I got the softest option. I was hoping for the most lux feeling with having back support simultaneously. This went pretty well for me so far, but again, the softness makes the bed conform to your body, so when you have the fluffiness around the edges of your body, you are getting insulation from the bed, and that free heat may help or hurt some! I don't like that aspect but I keep AC high anyways because I'm very warm blooded. I haven't had any back problems since getting the bed and adjusting (adjustment took a week or two, body was sore to the bone while getting used to the new mattress). I was having weekly back problems from a car wreck a few years ago. I think I hit the nail on the head for the most part, but thinking back, I would have gotten a slightly-more-firm option than SOFT.
I have never slept better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress has by far out done my expectations compared to my current spring mattress. The hybrid comfort has helped me sleep deeper and longer through the night. I tend to toss and turn due to hip pain, but this mattress conformed to my hips keeping them aligned and pain free. I would definitely be inclined to purchase this brand of product again once we are in need of replacing this mattress. I recommend this mattress for anyone in the market of purchasing one.
Best Night's Sleep Ever, but make you Sweat
After trying out almost every mattress in our local mattress store; our favorite was the Tempur-Pedic Pro Adapt Firm. My boyfriend and I have been using it for almost 2 months now. We truly sleep like babies on it. We love the firm construction that feels like it cups your entire body, ever so slightly, without that sinking-in feeling. Even sitting up on it makes me fall asleep. The only downside is that the material, unfortunately, DOES make you sweat. Nevertheless, I would still recommend it. I'll deal with a little sweat, for the most comfortable night's sleep ever...
The Best Mattress
First night and the mattress felt AMAZING! Even through the mattress's break-in period it still felt great! Little to no back pain next mornings, I can fall asleep much faster, and I wake up earlier feeling more restored and rested! Awesome mattress!
Very comfortable and not overly hot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is, firstly, a very comfortable mattress. You don't have that get in, sink really deep into it thing that you do with some fully foam mattresses. The give is, instead, just enough to be really, really comfortable. And it's great for cuddling: your arm doesn't fall asleep. In contrast, I find that I'm definitely getting better sleep on this mattress, and, I don't wake up sore anymore. It's pretty fantastic. I've also found that, compared to my previous spring mattress, I don't feel as much when my partner moves or shifts in the night. I dare say this mattress is even more comfortable than a hammock, and that's saying something. One concern I had with a foam mattress was how warm it would be. Well, my fears turned out to be unjustified: even in an apartment with no air conditioning, in an unusually hot August, I had no trouble with overheating, and I definitely sleep on the warm side. I think this is due to the fact you don't end up sinking into, and being encapsulated in, the mattress. The only downsides I found with this mattress were minor. First, when it arrived, it definitely had a pretty strong plastic smell to it. Fortunately this dissipated after a few days. The other thing I discovered is that, if you don't have sheets that are big enough for the mattress depth, they really don't work! With my old mattress, slightly smaller sheets still gripped the side of the mattress fine. This one, though, has so much give in it that I kept waking up completely wrapped in the bottom sheet! This was rectified by purchasing some sheets that actually fit the 12 inch deep mattress--- but it's a good thing to know beforehand.
had it three weeks. Happy so far.
Three weeks is usually to soon to know how well the mattress and I will get on as the months pass. However it has performed as advertised thus far. I do wish to say the same next year. As you will read, I am particular. For the record: I live in south Florida; so we are always under air conditioning. sleeping conditions: A/C set to 73 degrees. Big ceiling fan over the bed on high speed. just a top sheet and bottom sheet; no blankets. Wife sleeps apart in the warm bedroom. i have cool water running thru a pillow pad all night long keeping my head comfy. I sleep better when I am cool. The mattress has not been hot (that is insulating me more than i prefer), which was a concern. Lastly, I am a side sleeper by necessity. Apnea will occur if I try to sleep on my back. And two firm pillows under my head (because of side sleeping). I sleep with a third firm pillow under my side. keeps pressure of my shoulder.
