Too much grease

Although bacon has really good flavor; there is too much fat/grease in precooked Smithfield bacon. When heated in microwave, it saturates the paper towel with grease. This causes issues with crisping the bacon, as well as having more cholesterol in bacon (it sticks to the parchment paper when chilled from the grease). The reason we purchase precooked bacon is to reduce our cholesterol, the convenience is secondary. We use to buy the Hormel Black Label precooked bacon, but Sam's Club no longer provides the thin cut precooked Hormel bacon at our store.

Thank you for sharing your experience with our fully cooked bacon. I am sorry this package was excessively greasy. This is not typical for our bacon and we hope you will reach out to us directly so we can gather details for our quality team and help you with refund options. 855-411-PORK.

Y-u-u-u-m!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’re already big fans of bacon over here, literally any kind of bacon, so I already knew this was going to be a hit. I love that there is no need to stand over a hot stove with this Smithfield Fully Cooked, Ready To Eat Bacon. I was able to put these in the microwave for a bit and they were just as good just without the large, greasy mess. They taste delicious, are crispy when heated, and have the perfect amount of marbleing, what can I say? Exactly as expected, would definitely recommend!

Tastes Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fully cooked bacon is so convenient! Just a minute or so in the microwave and the bacon is warm, crisp, and ready for any meal. No popping grease or 30 minute wait for perfect bacon. I love the simplicity and ease.

ready to eat bacon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how convenient this ready to eat bacon is. I just reheat it in a microwave or my multi-function air fryer, then add it to my breakfast sandwich, or pair it with eggs! It saves me all the work for pan frying, and dealing with large portion of bacon oil afterward (I usually have to wait till the oil to cool down and solidify, then put it into a plastic bag to trash). It also helps to avoid all the smoke and grease lingering in the home during cooking. These ready to eat bacon is tasty and convenience. Good choice for busy people.

Good bacon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was late reviewing this item as I was unable to find it at multiple stores. I finally found some, and my family microwaved it to warm it up and scarfed it down before I could snap a pic! They said it tasted just like freshly cooked bacon, without the mess or trouble!

Great bacon!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Get yourself some bacon that is very simple to cook! All you have to do is microwave the bacon or even air fry the bacon. I put mine between paper towels and stuck it in the microwave and had wonderful, flavorful, fully cooked bacon in seconds. I really like the Smithfield brand because they have quality meats. In the past I have tried their pork loins and they were very high quality. So I know that when I got to try the Smithfield bacon that I was going to be equally impressed. And I was!

Dropped Hormel for Smithfield - bad decision

Wanted the Hormel but they must have dropped it for Smithfield. Worst bacon I've ever had. Smoke flavor is overwhelming, and so salty it's like biting in to a salt block. Am throwing the whole pkg in the trash. The Sam's Club buyer who made the decision to drop Hormel 72ct bacon should be fired.

Size Matters

These are tiny, elf sized bacon slices. They are 3/4 of the size of the store brand that I normally buy (laying the slices side by side), even though both packages say they are 2.1 oz. I weighed both brands of bacon within their plastic packaging. The total weight of the store brand was 3-1/4 oz and the Smithfield was 2-1/8 oz. I doubt that their packaging weighs just .03 oz. Maybe they only do this in the Northeast because we don't have many pigs here or because they think that we're rich. Oh, well, I will just use 3 slices to equal 2 slices of the other brand. I just thought that I would mention this.

Impressed !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never tried precooked bacon because honestly it didn’t sound very good. But Smithfield - Fully Cooked Hometown Original Ready to Eat Bacon has proved me wrong. You just slightly heat it a lil and it’s like you just made it at home ! You don’t even have to heat it if you don’t want , we didn’t for the best Bacon cheese burgers ever. I’ve also tried them for blt’s and have added them to potato soup ! Forget going through the hassle of crying this is my new go to.
