[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned the washer and dryer for about a month now. We are generally happy with them. The only issue we have is that the features and selections are largely preprogrammed so that if you wish to perform a simple task or modify a given selection, it is difficult or impossible. Capacity is very good.

Our old front loader needed to be replaced. Several years ago we had bought an LG washer & dryer as a gift for our grown children. It has been perfect for them. I wanted the front loader that could accommodate the small pedestal washer that LG makes so we bought the WM5500 . The washer is very intuitive in sensing the type of setting needed. I also love the small pedestal washer as you can wash athletic clothes and save water and energy.

My whole family absolutely loves this washer - It can hold a large enough load to cut down on how many loads we need to do each week, and the customization settings for each load offers a lot more options than on our previous washer. It is quiet and easy to use, and I am so thankful that we purchased this model! I do wish the light would stay on longer inside as we are hanging clothes/transferring them to the dryer, but that is a minor thing. I also enjoy receiving notifications on my phone alerting me to the wash cycle being complete so that I don't have to guess as to when it is finished. And if it's sitting a little too long with wet clothes, I can either run a refresh cycle or hightail it downstairs to empty it before it ruins our load.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer approximately 1 1/2 months ago and really don’t know how I tolerated my last washer for so long. This is the very best washer I’ve ever purchased. The features are perfect and address all washing needs, including all the synthetic fabrics in the market. It’s easy to use and the wash cycles get my clothes really clean. I absolutely love how the spin cycles get the majority of water and moisture out of my clothes.

My wife and I were desperate for a new washing machine. While we wanted to do some research, we felt the pinch of time. We instantly loved the design and ascetic of the LG series. Since its delivery, we’ve been incredibly happy. Installation was easy and the LG app is a cool feature. The machine is significantly quieter than our last. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and it has performed flawlessly. I really like the features and being able to control the cycles from the phone app. It has cut laundry time in half compared to my old unit.

I have had these units for a few months now. I am a first time front load washer owner and I love it. Granted, my last laundry set was from 1996. I like that it has the laundry soap dispenser at the top, the drum is lit, and its quiet. Its a bonus that I have it connect to my wifi and I can see the state of the wash and when it will be finished (and use alexa to tell me when its done washing). It has more features than I will use but I plan on exploring them soon. These would include the AI wash cycle. I would recommend this unit. Also, its lower than I thought so purchasing a pedestal might be in my future also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer has great cleaning performance. The noise level is fine - especially since my laundry area is open to the kitchen. I mainly hear it when its spinning, but it's not that loud/doesn't bother me (expecting no noise is not realistic). I think my prior Bosch machine was louder. So far, love it!

Thanks so much LG for the WM5500HVA Washer and matching electric dryer in Graphite Steel! Most all high end washers are now 5.0 cu. ft or bigger. We do not have the depth to accommodate a washer that big, but still wanted all of the high end features of the large flagship washers. LG is the only manufacturer that has a high end 4.5 cu ft unit. This unit has it all! Shallow 30-1/4" depth to fit in tight spaces AI smart cycles and technology The LG app (never thought I would use it, but has been an amazing feature) Super quiet! quicker wash cycle than past units (probably because of the app and smart features) Drum Light !!!! Sleek design We couldn't be happier with our purchase! Thanks again LG!
