To avoid this experience, use the dish spray in a well-ventilated area, away from your face. Another tip we can share is to give our Dawn Free & Clear with Light Pear scent a try. It may be the perfect option for you. Speaking of the trigger concerns you've had, be sure the yellow circle, made between the nozzle and top of the spray, is visible. The yellow circle must be lined up exactly in order for the trigger to spray easily. If the yellow circle is off, even by a little bit, it can permanently damage the trigger. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors.
