laughing!

So many people scared of battery name brands , there are only 3-4 battery companies that make all the lead acid car battery’s in America. The one brand you trust the most is made with the one you will never buy ! LOL they are all the same , the Sams club Duracell batteries are very good I’ve had one in my car for 10 years and I just changed it ,there was nothing wrong with it but I just figured just in case ! Great battery’s - retired mechanic after 45 years .

Already Weak Within 18 Months!

Not a good battery and I have to have two in my Ford F250 Powerstroke! Batteries go down overnight and have to be recharged.... especially on cool/cold nights. Just had to charge them after a cool night (40 degrees F)! To prove my alternator is not to blame, I used my battery tester and went through a complete diagnostics. Alternator... charging perfectly and NOT A PROBLEM. Sams always uses that excuse to avoid any discussion about their not so good batteries! After a complete charge....both batteries read 12 volts (engine not running)! And, under a simulated load and with a 100 percent charge (engine not running)....both batteries read weak! These are 3 year replacement batteries but Sam's WILL NOT honor their replacement warranty because the batteries are not totally dead. So, if I want to use my truck, I have to charge the batteries first. Not a good thing! When these batteries finally go, I am SURE I WILL NOT replace them with Duracell and I doubt that I will go to Sam's for batteries any time soon!!

First replacement just died after 10 months

Bought first one at the end of 8/2017. By December, I had to charge the battery every single time I left the truck sit for more than two days. Battery was replaced under warranty 1/2018, and worked fine until two weeks ago. This time I'm going to replace it with something else.

Good price but .....

Bought 35 months ago. Worked flawlessly for 2 winters but has failed to start on multiple below zero days in the past month. Unfortunately when tested at the nearest Sam's (1.5hrs) it was almost 60 degrees and it showed "good". Probably make it just past the warranty period.

Battery Exploded

I purchased this battery in Sept 2022 and recently it exploded from the heat. This battery claims "a maintenance-free design and starting protection in all kinds of weather." I am taking it back to Sam's Club and I assume they will honor their "36 Month Free Replacement Warranty."

These Batteries are Terrible

I'd always 'heard' that Deka batteries were exceptional, but these are pure junk. I drive a diesel PU, so have two under hood. In the last few years, I've had two explode under my hood while cranking. Both were under warranty, so I was stuck with more terrible batteries. Now I have a completely dead two year old battery that needs replacement again....uuuugh!

get what you pay for.

I’ve suffered the same misfortune as so many predecessors have noted. I offer my same experience after 19 months, both batteries spontaneously died and my Sam’s club had none in stock to replace them. Warranty is fine if you can wait a week. Replaced at reliable automotive store with valid inventory and daily replacement. Cost more in time and labor that this cheap imitation saved. Caveat emptor

Worst batteries ever

I purchased 2 batteries to replace old 5 yrs plus Interstates. These Duracells lasted only 1.5 and 2 years. respectively. Fortunately, had a couple of 2017 Napa's that are still holding a charge to tide me over until I can get replacement Interstates.

Still working strong after 6 years in AZ heat

I have one in my '08 Expedition dated Dec 2018 and it continues to provide strong starting power. This is unusual for Phoenix due to the extreme heat that causes plates to warp(shorted cells), and cells that dry out when electrolyte evaporates. Previous batteries had failed around 2 yrs.
