[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a fan of Downy fabric softeners, though I usually use their non-scented products. I've washed a handful of loads using the Downy April Fresh, and my items smell quite delightful. I washed my duvet cover using this product, and even my husband noticed the new scent. It's not overpowering, and doesn't bother my skin at all. I will continue to use non-scented products for certain loads, but will keep April Fresh on hand for clothes and linens.

I haven't used Downy in a long time but was excited to get a free sample from Influenster and gladly started pouring some in my washing machine with each load. The smell took me back to my teen years as my best friend always smelled like Downey's fabric softener. I did find a few greasy looking spots that I'm guessing were from the fabric softener but it didn't do it the second load so it could have just been a mishap. All in all a great product. A bit pricey in store but there are always coupons floating around and it really is much better than the off brands!

It works great to soften clothes and keeps them in great condition and the colors bright. The smell is lasting which I love! Definitely been around forever for a reason. I would definitely recommend Downy fabric softener.

I have used various brands of pods, but ultimately, it has negated the need for me to buy fabric sofetner seperately. I didn't think it would make a difference. After using Downy April Fresh, I must say it does make a difference. First, the scent is fabulous. I like a fresh scent, but there is a fine line between a nice scent and overpowering. This product strikes the perfect balance. I used this on a load of color tshirts first time around. My shirts came out nice and soft and fresh. The colors looked good as well, though I can't determine if that was specifically related to this product. I can say that it didn't damage the colors in any way. I have some issues with static when I use pods. I had absolutely no static after using this product on my first load, and I haven't noticed any since either. That is probably my favorite aspect of Downy April Fresh. The product claims to reduce pilling and fuzz. I can't speak to this specifically. I did not notice any specific decrease in these issues, but being unable to substantiate this claim didn't take away from its value, in my opinion. Overall, I really like this product, and I will be purchasing it in the future.

My boys play hard so it's important that their clothes get washed well without becoming too faded from wear. Downy really helps with keeping the color fresh and bright. Downy for the WIN!!

This is my absolute favorite fabric softener! Not only does it actually make your clothes softer, it also smells wonferful!! This is always my first choice when purchasing fabric softener. I've used several others, from the same brand and other brands, and nothing comes close to working as well as this does! 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

My clothes feel softer, they smell amazing AND I am not needing to throw them in the dryer to get out the wrinkles near as often. Let's be honest, who has time to iron?! My son is loving it as well! He has athletics in the morning, and even he smells GREAT, even after a run or workout and changing back into street clothes! I can't believe I have gone this long with out it! The sent is lasting, yet not overwhelming. Love!

I like Ultra Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Softener if I can’t find the Downy Free & Gentle Liquid Fabric Conditioner 103 Fl Oz. The April Fresh has a very strong fragrance that irritates my nose but I will use it if my favorite is out of stock. It is very reasonably priced and comparable to others. Give it a try, you may like it if you don’t mind the strong fragrance.

Our clothes and linens smell so good and fresh! And soft, oh boy! The funniest part is that when our dogs lay on their blankets now, they also smell April fresh!! My whole house smells better! Great product & I will definitely buy this in the future!

I have been doing my own laundry for 14 years and never have I found myself literally sticking my nose in the pile of clothes before me. This stuff smells fantastic! It's not an overpowering smell to the point of giving you a perfume induced headache, yet it has lasting power. The softener also works wonders. I used this product to wash old, mud ridden towels we used to wipe down the dogs and they came out smelling fantastic and super soft. If you are concerned with price, just know a little of this stuff goes a long way. I used about 1/2 of the recommended amount in one of my laundry loads and it still did the job. I highly recommend!
