I can't believe that you would change the formula for the April Fresh Downey. I purchased a bottle and returned it because the scent was nothing like the old scent. My husband, who never notices anything when it comes to laundry, noticed and said that it smelled bad. In my opinion, it smells like a cheap man's cologne. Please change back to the original April Fresh Downey that I love!

I received this product to try and I decided to use it on some of our puppy's dirty blankets and toys. I figured if it made those items fresh then this product would be a winner. After taking the blankets out the dryer, they smelled soooooo fresh that I couldn't believe I was actually putting my nose to the puppy's blanket! I will definitely be purchasing.

My husband got 5-6 superman/superheroes towel for home usage and all were folded like paper napkin.When I tried opening each towel OMG it was so crumpled and hard and I was so upset and almost screamed at my husband for having such insane love for superheroes that he even got kitchen towels of their print and now I have to handle this. After this my husband suggested me to try Downy for softening and you will not believe this product creates miracle.I took picture and wanted to write reviews so that others should also try and use this product

The new scent of Downy April Fresh is unpleasant. The original scent was remarkable and recognizable. Everyone remarked on how fresh my laundry room and laundry smelled. Sadly I am in search of a substitute and disposed of the bottle I just purchased.

I have used Downy for so long - until they changed the scent from the original April Fresh to this gross smell! They call it “floral” - but it definitely doesn’t smell like any flowers I’ve ever smelled lol. Sooo many people have complained about the change, hard to imagine why they refuse to switch back?? I would recommend Gain over any of the current Downy scents.

I received a complimentary sample of this Downy liquid softener from Influenster for reviewing purposes, all opinions are my own. I've been using this product for a long time and it is definitely a must have! My clothes feel super soft and smell awesome! I've never had any issue using this in my HE washer, either. Did I mention how affordable this stuff is? There's nothing I love more than that first whiff of April freshness when I crawl into bed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm REALLY liking my April Fresh Ultra Downy! I had used Downy products in the past. However, the measuring lines in the caps were NOT for he products - and we had to use trial and error - since then, they've added the NEW markings based on regular, NOT "ultra", measuring lines built in to the cap. What I AM liking about the new cap that I have is the fact that they've taken the guess work out and are including the ACTUAL measurement markings for the "he" compatible concentrated product - NICE! It has a very nice aroma. The product does seem to soften, however, it also depends on whether you do one or two rinses. I have found a couple of things that I do not care for - the fact that the fragrance does not last - only three or four days, tops. And, It would be nice if the makers of Downy would NOT use a coloring agent OR, at least make it less blue and more "opaque" - almost clear. The product really doesn't keep my clothing bright, doesn't have long lasting freshness, I still have static cling UNLESS I use a dryer sheet with it, NOR has it prevented pilling, etc. - Basically, it seems like the product does NOT do for my laundry what I have read that it is suppose to do. Yes, I DO use it from time to time - I grew up on it and it's hard to switch to something else when you've used a product for over 50 years. I DO like the fragrance and have been known to cut the bottles open - after use and dried - cutting the bottle up to use as scent providers for small areas - drawers, etc. Do I recommend this product? Yes, as a laundry additive and NOT based on all of the marketing hype. Just try it not thinking about the statements made for selling purposes and just try it and see if it's something that you'll want to use. The thing is, NO product can do what has been claimed - it's impossible - because of the rigors of daily usage of the garments AND all of the agitation of the washing machine AND water - especially, if you have city water or well water - treated or untreated. I do use it and probably will for a long time!

I have 5 boys from 13 to 2yrs old. I used the fabric softener on their sweaters and my two year olds blanket. They came out so soft and smelling so good. My 2yr old wont let go of his blanket now. Lol I got to try downy fabric softener for free through my voxbox from influenster.

I feel like this has kept my clothes soft and lasting longer without fading! Also, I have noticed that my clothes have less static and pilling. This is my preferred brand and will continue to be.
