These cards are very difficult to use at a store, since the magnetic strip is flawed. Employees try to scan it, and it fails. Then they have to manually enter the digits. Why the hassle? ALSO, if you “load” the card’s value in the Steak n’ Shake app, it’s lost in neverland (can’t place any orders, can’t access the funds).

Love these cards, use them slot.

It would have nice to be able to email the gift cards to whom they were intended. I could not elect to even have these cards delivered to actual recepient at a different address than mine. Previously I was able to do this when purchasing an Applebee's gift card(s); why not allow the same capability with the Steak 'n Shake?

I bought my grandchildren these gift cards for their birthday. The Hiram, Georgia Stek n Shake Manager refused to let them use the cards inside the restaurant. They were forced to stand at the drive through and order their food to use the cards. The restaurant dining room was open and there were open usable tables even using social distancing. Don’t waste your time buying these cards.

These gift cards can't be used inside the restaurant. The only way they will work is at the drive thru where they have to manually enter the card number. This is in a way life false advertising & causing customers an embarrassment as if one did something wrong. I've read other reviews that say the same & that Sam's is aware of the problem. Then, why hasn't Sam's fixed it or just stop selling them. At the bare minimum tell the truth about these cards in the description, otherwise it's false advertising. A half truth is still a lie. Yes, the cards work, but only when an employee manually enters the card number & pin. The Steak n Shake e-gift cards have the same problem.

i ordered this a month ago and it never arrived and it is such a hassle to get a refund with Sams on gift cards. this was supposed to be a christmas gift that never arrived and here I sit with nothing and still dont have my money back.
