I could't have chosen a better mattress. I sleep on my back, stomach, side and this particular model best accommodates these varied positions. And, the mattress is cool. I just love it. After trying for several months sleeping on different kinds of mattresses made of all organic wool (too stiff/hard and high maintenance), natural latex (too bouncy), cotton and wool (too hard), other kinds of foam (too flimsy), etc., I settled on Tempur-pedic Medium Hybrid. I've been sleeping on it for several weeks now and it is just a very comfortable substantial bed.

I'd had a full memory foam Tempur-Pedic mattress in the past. The new hybrid is definitely better for me though. The increased edge support in particular is nice so I don't feel like I'm falling off the bed when I'm close to the edge.

Purchased our Pro Adapt Firm to replace a Tempur-Pedic purchased in 2004 ...I had spinal fusion surgery then and bought it on my Doctors recommendation...my wife recently had a similar back surgery and we decided to retire our old mattress and get a new upgrade with an Ease Base...we continue to be happy and comfortable...especially our backs...Count us VERY SATISFIED Customers...

I have two other tempurpedic beds in my house (one of a higher level and one of a lower level of tempurpedic) and this one easily compares to the higher level bed! There is the perfect amount of softness, while also having enough firmness to it. The bed scoops you in comfortably and allows for a restful night of sleep. I can honestly say I fall asleep quicker and do not toss and turn while sleeping in this bed. I wake up feeling refreshed after a restful night of sleep in this bed. I have always recommended tempurpedic beds and will continue to do so after being able to review this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mattress is amazing. I sleep a little hotter than my old one but overall it's pretty great. I should have got the 5" platform instead of the ultra low 2". PS - King size only comes in two twin foundations if that helps!

I have never bought a mattress before, first got memory form out of a box and it was terrible so I exchanged for tempur-proAdapt soft and really do not like it either. Since I already had one exchange they would not take this back and refund my money. I just do not like it so it is in the other room and I am still sleeping on my old bed. Great product but not for me.

We went with the Temper-ProAdapt Soft for both of us....We love them. More comfortable than our old mattress! We ordered them directly with Tempur-Pedic, and have had a great experience. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TEMPUR-ProAdapt Firm Mattress is AMAZING!! It is so soft and cushiony yet firm at the same time!! The mattress is definitely made of some heavy duty material. I love how it conforms to my body and just basically holds me in place! After sleeping on this bed for about a week, I have noticed a significant difference in how much I wake up in the middle of the night! At first, my back kind of hurt because I stayed in one spot all night, so I felt stiff... but the more I use it, my body is getting used to it! I also love how it has a removable and washable cover on it! This mattress is absolutely wonderful! I'd completely recommend it to anyone considering it!!

My husband and I were both experiencing back problems from our over 10 year old pillow top. We decided to try Tempur-pedic because we had slept on one while visiting friends and really liked the comfort. From the very first night on our new mattress, our back aches were relieved. My husband is a big man and I am a small petite woman and it adjust to both of us like it was custom-made for us. We both highly recommend the Tempur-pedic.

So my ultimate heaven of a mattress has had a long back story. I started with the cloud - and I liked it ok (definitely is soft) but it was not supportive enough (I have back pain). I returned it online and then bought the Adapt Medium Hybrid from their Tysons Virginia store. It was excruciating to deal with their online support people and when the delivery company finally came (after a lot of back and forth with Tempur customer service) the company told me they have no documentation about needing to pick up the old mattress (after my confirming with the Tempur multiple times) but they were willing to take it away - after giving them an extra $40 on the side! So - the adapt hybrid helped my back but my shoulder started hurting, I wasn't wild about the bounce, but I would have kept it if it wasn't causing pain- I had it for a couple of weeks tried a topper (helped my shoulder but then my back would hurt). Because I had done a return to online and purchase in store, and my family knew of the bed difficulties, I was offered the additional money as a birthday present and bought the Pro-adapt Medium (which felt perfect when I tried it in the store). I started reading these reviews only after ordering and was terrified it would be too hard given all the reviews. But - it came at last yesterday, at first it was ok but a little firm (and very cold) - I sped up the softening by adding an electric blanket for a few hours. And I have to say this bed is THE BOMB. I'm on a tight budget, and I really think Sealy could easily perform some obvious belt tightening (their processes are necessarily cumbersome, outmoded and there seem to be countless people employed who are rather unhelpful (honestly clueless and useless and I don't say this lightly). But after all the frustration, and the insane amount of money they charge (plus the 2xs paying their obnoxious $175) I can say the Pro-Adapt Medium is worth it - it is truly a doughy oasis - no pain at all - perfect softness and yumminess, but also supportive.
