My wife and her friend saw this gazebo at Sams Warehouse for $1600. Price was right so we ordered it right away. They let us know that Sams had ordered 6 of these and wasnt expected to come in for quite a while. So I got on to the internet to find it somewhere else. Now when I was doing this it was right before Mothers Day and this was going to be perfect for her in the backyard. In my search i found this same gazebo on your website Backyard Discovery. But at a substantually higher cost $2400. My wife didnt like it but I ordered it anyway knowing it was going to be here the following week. . Timing was perfect for her Mothers Day. I bought it and our sons came to put it together on Mothers Day. I have to say this kit was really well thought out. the instructions were so easy to follow. Even for this dum truckdriver. I spent countless hours researching gazebos. I searched all over for a very high quality gazebo that would last a long time and that looked great on the new patio I just installed. I stumbled on this gazebo on display at a store by me and I was really impressed with how well the structure was made. Even though it is a dark walnut stain, it had an ever-so-slight hue of red color on a couple of the posts while my wife and I were looking at it in the store. Also, we were looking for something that had a black roof as opposed to a dark brown. So my wife and I decided to keep looking for another option. We looked at other brands which was aesthetically exactly what we were looking for (natural light wood tone with black roof). However, the quality was no where near this. From the max snow load to the wind certification of 100mph, and the impressive quality of the steel roof and cedar, there really was no competition. As you can see from the pictures, there is no red hue at all and it really looks awesome against the gray paving stones I have. CONS: There was a couple nicks and scratches, as well as some waviness in the roof. Also, it comes with screws to bolt into the ground, which is an optional step. The screws to anchor it to the ground were not as high quality as the rest of the structure, so I bought concrete screw anchors (1/4” DIA. x1-3/4” L). They worked out great. Lastly, I love the electric hookup, but the cord was a little short for where we needed it to go by a foot or two. It would be great if the cord length could be adjusted. There are workarounds for this like placing the electric panel lower, so it’s not the end of the world. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This took my son and I 2.5 days to build. I had a concrete slab poured to place it on prior to the build. Follow the assembly instructions and you will be fine. We are really happy with the outcome. We live in a windy area and haven’t had any issues. Very sturdy

The structure seems very strong and was straight forward to assemble. The roof panels were the most challenging to lift into position. This required enough people and planning to do safely. One design change is needed. The metal band that goes around at the bottom of the roof should go UNDER the roof pieces instead of over them as instructed, because it catches leaves and debris. My leaves caused visible stains on the wood. After it was too late I saw blogs mention how the instructions should be revised.

Each piece of the construction materials was clearly marked and easily identified. One small bent item was replaced by the manufacturer within two day. So no delay in construction. Can easily be constructed by the do it yourselfer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this gazebo about 5-6 months ago. I put it together myself with help from family. Be patient with the installation. Take your time and follow the directions exactly and things will work out well. The gazebo looks great and is sturdy. I've had it up now several months and it is hasn't moved at all and I live in a very windy area. This gazebo really solved a problem for us - we couldn't use our back patio in the summer because of the direct sunshine. Now we can use the patio year round.

This is the second product we have bought from them. my only complaint is that the app instructions will have instructions that the paper one doesn't. For example, when anchoring the gazbeo, the app tells you how big a hole you need to drill, but the paper ones do not.
