Just what we needed for our master bedroom. I have been looking and everything was either cheaply made, cost way to much and then I saw this beautiful, steady bench. It could be used in living room, entry way, so many uses. We love it and it is a heavy piece of furniture.

I ordered the Westport Fabric Bench and I was pleasantly impressed with the construction and look of the bench. I placed it at the foot of my King size bed and it looks beautiful. The cushion on the bench is a little stuff but comfortable. The color is light and would look good with any decor. It was well packaged and delivered promptly. You do have to assemble the bench but it was very easy but did need 2 people to attach the top to the bottom.

Using this bench at end of bed which is king size. Love the length and sturdiness, it holds all of our extra pillows and comforter. This bench as it is well made and solid.

Great quality and wonderful addition to my bedroom. Have been looking for a bench for the end of my bed for a long time. This fits perfectly.

This is a well made upholstered bench. I was surprised at how nicely done the upholstery was done but I do wish the material was a more neutral shade. It definitely leans toward a brown/tan. The shelve underneath will come in handy for decorative bed pillows when it's time to sleep.

The wood color is much darker then the light color I thought I was getting.

I would not recommend purchasing this product due to awful customer service. I received the bench, which is beautiful, to match the queen bed I previously bought. I received a defective leg and damaged shelf. I called customer service and they immediately shipped out the damaged parts. I thought that was great until I received them and found the leg was good but the shelf was damaged. It was wrapped for shipping so well that you could clearly see there was no way it was damaged in transit. Someone wrapped a defective part to begin with. I proceeded to call again to get another sent and still have not received. They have insisted they will send pics and when I receive them if I say it is ok they will have the warehouse pick it up and take care of shipping it out. I was told the warehouse is at another location. So what makes me think the shelf will not get damaged between their office and the warehouse location? It doesn't make sense. The pics I received, by the way looks like it has damage on it. I was also told they would not send me a replacement if needed the third time. Going on three weeks and no part received.

I purchased this bench because it matched the already existing chairs that I had, or close to it. The picture in the description is a little misleading. It's a little lighter and the fabric is also lighter. It seems as though the bench gets pretty good reviews on the Sam's Club website, but for me, one of the pre-drilled holes for the legs didn't line up correctly, making it impossible to finish putting together the bench without redrilling the holes in order to get enough thread through the 45° mounting bracket. If this was anybody else they would just return the bench, but for $200 and my time I fixed the problem with some basic tools. This is not what a $200 piece of furniture should require.

One of the bench legs had a stripped thread on a hanger bolt (see the pictures) and I am having issues reaching the manufacturer to get a replacement. I would have normally provided a five star review had I not had issues with the manufacturer's inspectors and the subsequent lack of customer service. The materials and design of this bench appear excellent. When I opened the box everything looked to be in order. Once I tried to assemble the bench, I quickly discovered that one of the screw threads was completely stripped and I could not assemble it. Trust me on this... I did not strip the thread and the bench was packaged in a manner which suggests it came straight from the manufacturer (It was not damaged and returned to the store by another customer). My customer service experience has been very challenging so far. Nobody answers the phone number (866-942-5362) and, as a result, I cannot order the replacement part. When I eventually opted to have Whalen Furniture call me back ("...without losing my place in line"), I received a return call within 15 minutes but there was complete silence on the other end of the line. I recently sent the manufacturer an email, with the pictures I am providing as part of this review, to request a replacement part. Hopefully, this is an isolated incident and nobody else has to experience it. As strange as it may seem, for now, I will recommend this product to a friend based on what I have observed in the design and materials so far. Perhaps, my stripped thread experience is not normal.

Planning on returning it. It arrived with a ding and although nice looking, it’s too stiff and uncomfortable to sit on.
