Lantern does not take up a lot of space, pads are easy to install.

This is a great idea,keeps the skeeters away and is a light for the patio table and/or the tent.

Great on the Lanai for noseeums and other flying bugs.

I read reviews on theses on Cabellas.com last year and purchased 4 for a camping trip based on those reviews. We did not get a single bite the entire time they were lit. We used them again for a BBQ in July and our yard is notorious for gnat swarms in the evening, these kept everything away. I can't wait to use them again this summer, these thing are WELL worth the money.

Admittedly, there's some getting used to - and it's easy to forget to shut the thing off when you're not on the deck so you can go through more accelerant - but this gizmo provides a protective "shield" that deters not just mosquitoes but no-see-ems, gnats, and black flies. It takes about 10 minutes or so for the "shield" to get going, and you should buy refills ahead as the mat works best if you change it each time. Refills are inexpensive and I've not found another product that works as well. We run mosquito magnets in the summer, but they don't deter gnats and black flies - this does. We're on our 3rd season and are buying another for our back deck.

Bought two of the Thermacell Cambridge Mosquito Repellent Lanterns on recommendation from a friend. We would BBQ in the back yard and it would never fail 6:00PM the wife would run into the house because of the buggy B@$t@rds. Now thanks to these, my wife can stay outside and enjoy the outdoors with our company. Thank you

This lantern did not perform near as well as the portable unit I have used for years. This unit does not seem to heat up as quickly (30 minutes or more) and the mat for it doesn't produce the repellant zone. I will go back to my portable hunting unit which works great.

Was very happy when I found the lantern, unfortunately after 3 months it did not ignite anymore.....as I had still mats I bought another product, a handheld one....after using it 3 x week for 2 months, i found it one morning leaking out the fuel...huge mess on the wooden table and a full cartridge lost. Mats and cartridges are not cheap so I would wish that at least the pieces would last

A friend brought a Thermacell to our weekend at the coast in Texas. Coastal mosquitoes are huge and hungry! Once the unit was turned on, there was not one mosquito around. When I returned home, I immediately bought one and have never been disappointed. I have repeatedly suggested to my friends that they should purchase a unit. I’ve given them as birthday presents.
