Was very very hopeful about this mattress, but I am side sleeper and get no support in my lower back. I wake up everyday with so much back pain, and toss and turn all night. We used our sleep trial to get this mattress so I'm unfortunately stuck with it and pain for a long time. Would only recommend this product if you are very small and have narrow hips and shoulders.

Mainly I was looking for a non-chemical-smelling mattress, and I first tried a latex version by a different company, which was a wonderful mattress except that my shoulder ached every morning cuz I guess it was too firm. So I returned that one, and tried Tempur-Pedic's Adapt and I've been very happy with it so far. No chemical smells and my shoulder is fine. Yes I recommend this - I'm a 59-yr-old woman, 5'6", 145 pounds.

I've had the bed for over a month and every day wake up with an extremely painful low back. I also can't stay asleep for long before waking up with bad pain. I had upper back and shoulder pain with my old mattress but never low back pain. As an exclusive side sleeper with chronic upper back pain I'm thinking i may need more support. It is a nice mattress, just doesn't work for me. I'm exchanging it for a sealy posturepedic hybrid kelburn. It's not worth the cost to try another tempurpedic as I thought the firmer one was too firm

We bought this mattress to go on our guest room bed. Our mail level air-conditioning went out and was to be a week before could be replaced. Upstairs has it's own AC system, so we slept in the guest room. What a delight! I would recommend this mattress to anyone over the spring mattresses of the old days,

Went in to get a store brand Hybrid King, and ended buying a Tempur-Adapt Hybrid, I'm 76 and she is 85, I use to wake up with back pain and sleep four to five hours per night, it took a while to get use to it, but I am sleeping seven hours of a good sound sleep, My wife Love's it, she looks forward going to bed early and reading.

With previous mattresses I would toss and turn all night, literally waking up in pain every time I'd roll over. I was dealing with major lower back pain and shoulder pain all day every day. My husband finally let me order this Mattress and I do not regret it at all. From night one I noticed a difference, I was only waking up because of my cat and not back pain. Worth every penny! We have the adjustable base with this as well and will never go back to any other type of mattress. There is seriously nothing to not love, we love everything about this Mattress.

It only took a couple of nights to realize I had made the best purchase ever. I was waking up every night around 3 in the morning with pain in my hips and back. Now I sleep thru the night without any pain. I always look forward to climbing into my bed and loving a good night sleep. Even a nap in the middle of the day is a treat.

I've suffered with osteoarthritis in my back for 10 years. Therapy, medication and exercise did little to alleviate the pain. Then I discovered Tempurpedic mattress. I highly recommend this mattress for those who suffer from lower back pain. Its well worth the price to be able to rise each morning pain-free. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I purchased the tempur adapt hybrid medium about a month ago, and oh my goodness, we've never slept better in our lives. I'm trying to figure out why we slept on our old, awful mattress for so long. The medium adapt is the perfect blend between soft and firm. It feels really firm when you plop down on it, but as soon as you lay down, it begins to form ever so slightly around your body. You're basically cradled in this perfect foam cloud, but it's still firm enough to help alleviate any back, neck or shoulder pain! For about three years now, I've had chronic neck and back pain (I'm 33, so still young) that I think was caused from a nonsupportive mattress. Since buying the tempur adapt, my neck and back pain is almost completely gone. This mattress has literally improved my life! I don't hurt all day anymore. If you're on the fence, just try it! We absolutely love it! Oh, and yes, it does seem really firm when you first get it, but after a month, it has broken in nicely and isn't nearly as firm as when we first slept on it. I also followed the suggestion of slowly walking on the mattress upon receiving it to help speed up the break-in process.
