We purchased our mattress in December of 2016 and I was excited to try it out. I was hoping that the memory foam would help with my shoulders, low back, etc. My husband didn't have any issues. When we went to the store to check the mattresses out, the salesman made a big deal about us laying down on the mattresses so we could select the one that best fit our needs. Well the Medium firm mattress felt wonderful. And we laid on it for quite a while. We also tried the Soft one and it was very soft and didn't seem to have any support. So after discussing with the salesman, he said that it would probably take 60 days to break in the mattress so that it would be like the one we tried in the store. And if we were not happy with it, we could return it for a different one. Within 30 days, both my husband and I could hardly walk when we got up in the morning. The mattress was so hard. I put a foam pad on it and that helped a little. So we went back to the store to see if we could get a different one. They said we should give it more time and that we should not have added the foam - well they weren't sleeping on the darned thing. They also said we could trade it in for the Soft mattress but it would cost more money. I was really frustrated. The thing already cost us an arm and a leg, I felt we had already paid too much and didn't want to pay more money only to find out the soft one wouldn't work either. They also said that the reason the medium mattress felt so good at the store was because so many people had laid on it, trying it out, so it was broken in really good. So we went home disappointed and feeling like we were ripped off and determined to make the mattress work for us so we didn't have to pay more money to the store. After 90 days, the mattress was still as hard as it had been day 1. So we put the foam pad back on it. It has now been over 2 years and it is still as hard as it was on day 1. And yes, the foam pad is still on there. With the foam pad, we aren't limping out of bed. I firmly believe we were delivered the hard mattress. Lessons learned - (1) it does not help to try out mattress in the store, as they are not what you will receive; (2) don't believe the salesman when he says you can bring it back, there will be a catch; (3) buy a cheaper mattress so you can afford to get another one when the new one doesn't work out. I'm writing this at 1:30 am because I can't sleep, my shoulders are aching from laying on the mattress.

My Tempurpedic arrived yesterday. It literally makes me feel my whole body is fully supported from my neck down my spine through my hips. During these cold months going into winter this Tempurpedic is what I greatly needed. My previous spinal injuries from a car accident I suffered has made going to bed a strategic task. I had to plan which way to align myself with the mattress so I didn't have to go through the next day or week in pain. The price of the Medium Hybrid was quite steep, but was well worth it to help me to be more mobile and carry out my household expected duties as a mom and bread winner. I would recommend this Tempurpedic to anyone who has any type of arthritis or spinal impairments that has to deal with intolerable and unnecessary pain. The Medium Hybrid Tempurpedic hugs me like a soft comfy glove. It fills in any spaces between my body and the mattress naturally and supporting my spine each time I lay on it. For me, sleeping and able to stay mobile is much better than the pain I had to go through doing simple things like walking or just going to the bathroom. The Tempurpedic helps to eliminate that dilemma for me and I'm thankful I finally purchased one and so is my spine. Now my spine will repay me by helping me to stay mobile and pain free during this upcoming brutally cold season in New England. Thank you, Tempurpedic. Your a match to my spine made from NASA. I'm glad I was able to experience it here on earth without having to go outer space.

After over 2 months of laying on over 50 mattresses, shopping for the right one, the moment I layed on a Tempurpedic I knew instantly that I must have this matresses. By far, the foam used is better than ANY matresses out there. If you lay on other matresses you will immediately feel the difference. My back problems have disappeared. I am a side sleeper and love this mattress. I also bought the Tempurpedic adjustable base and this tops it off to the best restful sleep I have had in years . This mattress is so comfortable. I'm a side sleeper and was always waking up with hip pain from our old mattress, but no more. Within the first couple of days is sleeping on the Tempur-Pedic, the hip pain and random aches were gone. Very happy with this purchase.

But once I adjusted to this mattress, it has been smooth sailing ever since. No more tossing and turning, no more waking up in the middle of the night! I wake up rested and refreshed, and no aching back. The mattress conforms to my body and supports every inch. After five long years of sleeping on a miserable Serta Willowbrook that broke down just after the grace period expired, I'm finally getting the good nights sleep I needed. This is the forth tempurpedic mattress I have bought. It started with my daughter who had serious back pains and after I got her the tempurpedic mattress no more pains in the morning. Of course my other child had to get one along with myself and before you know it four tempurpedic mattresses were bought to ensure when our children come over there is a tempurpedic for them to sleep on. For a great sleep I strongly recomend the tempurpedic mattress.

I was having awful back and shoulder pain with my previous mattress and that is absolutely no longer a problem. You cannot feel your partner moving around in the middle of the night so you do not get disturbed by them. Although the prices are high they are undoubtedly worth every penny!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i used to love soft mattresses but found that i would wake up with back or hip pain more and more. my wife suggested we try the tempurpedic and i was hesitant as i never thought i was a fan of the memory foam/firm mattress. boy was i wrong! We have had it for 7 months and i am having the best sleeps of my life, i no longer have any pain in the morning and i wake up feeling incredriblely refreshed and rested. Couldnt recommened this bed highly enough
