The pen arrived pretty quickly but there were problems with it. It arrived at 0% and wouldn’t charge at all. Although , I was able to return it with no issues and received my money back the same day. I just went ahead and purchased the pen from my local Walmart.

I am very happy with the performance of the Apple Pencil. The features it offers in my note apps are very helpful. But I have had to kick start the battery twice in the 6 months I’ve had it. Not hard to do but it is aggravating to have to repetitively do.

Absolute scam with Allstate warranty - they won’t cover the product that was dead out of the box. I purchased it 8/2024 - but Apple claims it was it’s out of a 1 year warranty. Nobody wants to cover its defect. These die and won’t turn on if you don’t keep it charged.

The pencil itself works great and is really cool, and it is a must-have for current or aspiring creators or digital artists. My main complaint is that with an iPad 10th generation, this pencil version needs to be attached to the iPad to pair with the device. Every. Single. Time. This creates a bit of a hassle if you use it regularly. If I could do it over again, I would buy one of the newer versions.

For artists it's super efficient in drawing WITH pen pressure and pen tilt-so it's almost like drawing traditionally and pairing it with the iPad it helps detect when you are drawing so your palm wont accidentally move or smudge anything during the drawing process :> Paired with the really long lasting battery life (i can go maybe a day ish without charging) it's so helpful!

Love the Apple Pencil and all the ways to use it with my iPad. However, charging the Pencil is one of the worst concepts Apple has ever invented and because of this hassle, I rarely use the Pencil. Also, the hard tip of the Pencil tapping against the screen can be very annoying.

I am enjoying using the pencil, especially to write my to do lists. The reason for the 4 stars is because I have to pull out the cord and adapter every time I pair the pencil. Which is every time I turn it on. I am not in the habit of leaving my IPad on when I’m not using it

Nice pencil. Very easy and fast to connect to an iPad (we have generation 8). The pencil is very precise and makes clear lines when you need to, it also shades well. My daughter loves it so far. The thing I didn’t like about the pencil is the charging tip. When you plug it directly to the iPad to charge it has to be on a flat surface like a table or floor, otherwise there is a high chance of breaking the top off and leaving it in the iPad making both devices unusable. Yes, this generation pencil doesn’t charge by simply attaching it to the side of the iPad. Overall it’s a decent pencil.

This stylus is much more than your run of the mill tablet stylus. The way this interacts with the iPad is incredible. Anywhere you can type on the iPad you can write with the Apple Pencil. It is a breeze to set up and the different pressure points makes sketching very fluid and easy. Only complaint is that it is completely cylindrical meaning that it can roll off any surface that isn't perfectly level. The 2nd Gen has a small flat part of the body that keeps that from happening. This feels great using and has a little weight to it like a nice writing pen has. Worth the purchase with my new iPad!

Huge difference using the Apple Pencil Gen 1 versus a generic one with my iPad! Works great with Good Notes and Procreate. There are things I can do with the Apple Pencil, such as pressure and tilt, that you can’t do with other digital pencils. Love, love, love my Apple Pencil Gen 1!
