Awful leakage!

I picked my daughter up from school. She told me her lunch was ruined and she was starving. Come to find out it's leaking(the other one we have does too). We've love bento in the past but this is a waste!

Short life span- don't buy!

This was the third time trying these bento boxes. Every one if them break within a month or two of careful use. The little tiny plastic nub at the hinge always breaks off and then the whole thing is useless. I do not recommend these at all.

Not as good as the one for kid

My kids all love their lunch box and they use it everyday, no problem for years. Bought mine in a cute purple, uses it 5 times, and it’s brocken. Really disapointed.

So Disappointed

I love Bentgo products but I’m so very disappointed with the Modern Lunch Box. I’m now in my THIRD Modern Lunch Box that has broken at the hinges and looking at the reviews it seems like several others are experiencing the same thing. I will say that Bentgo has been great at sending out replacement boxes due to the warranty. It’s so disappointing and has to be a waste of money to the company to always have to send out replacement lunch boxes for the broken ones. I really love the size of this lunchbox but it’s just not working out after going through 3

Good, but with room for improvement

I like the box in general, I’ve only had two problems with it, and one was fixable so far. The latch popped off, but I was able to reattach, although I worry that having to do this too many times will wear away the plastic that holds the metal rods at the hinge. The bigger problem is that the seal on the lid has started to disintegrate in one area. I have looked for replacement seals for the lid, but can find them nowhere. I bought this in March and it has been my son‘s lunchbox 2-3 days per week since then. I followed the maintenance instructions and hand washed the lid each time. I am filing a warranty claim as it has been under six months. I suppose if the lid gasket seal is not replaceable that that would be an obvious place to improve upon the design; as well as reinforcing the hinge mechanism.

Poor Quality

After just one use, the hinge snapped completely, making the box unusable. I didn’t drop it or misuse it, it was just from normal opening and closing. For a product marketed as durable and ideal for everyday use, this was really disappointing. I expected better quality for the price. Hopefully, this was just a manufacturing defect, but I won’t be taking the risk on another one.

Good product but not leakproof between compartment

Love the size of the lunchbox and the compartments but they don't seem to be leakproof, which is the primary reason I bought this product. No leaking out of the box as a whole but for example, marinade/salsa liquid easily spilled from one compartment to another, which I wasn't expecting based on the "leakproof design" description - frustrating, as this limits what/how I can pack. The removable divider also isn't leakproof but I wasn't expecting that it would be (not sure if it's supposed to be or not!)

The removable divider is only meant to separate dry foods and is not leakproof, so liquids will flow between those sections. For best results, we recommend packing sauces, dressings, or liquids in a separate small container—many customers use our Bentgo Sauce Containers for this purpose.
