Good quality of container, sturdy, good size for teens

I love this lunch box so much I've been looking at this lunch box for a long time so thank u for making it

The latch for our lid has gone missing and you can't order a replacement latch??? We have 6 bentgo boxes and now 2 have to be taped shut everyday because we can't replace the latch? Otherwise it would be a great product. They save us money on food and keep things fresh but the latch is an easy fix and should be available to replace.

I bought this because it promised to be leak-proof, but it completely failed. Even the bottom-right compartment leaked when I put a salad in it, and the juice spread into the other sections. As a result, all of my other dry food ended up soaked in salad dressing.

I love these lunch boxes, but unfortunately this Modern version has a design flaw in that the closure tab breaks off repeatedly. My son uses one of these for his school lunch, and we've had 2 replacements since purchasing a new one in August 2025, despite it only being used for school and following all the care and use instructions.

I'm an adult and need adult portions. This case is not deep enough. This is only good for a child with snacks, not a proper lunch for an adult.

i got 2 of these. 1. they are not leak proof, total failure on that part. 2. the hinges on the lid broke off twice already within 3 .onths. i hand watch them carefully every time after use. the manufacturer did send a replacement unit 1st time broke off. i had to sent detailed pictures and explanation notes. However, the replacement unit hinges broke off in a month.

I bought several of these, and over a few months they broke. I hand washed them, never put them in the dishwasher. The hinges are a tiny pieces of plastic that snap off with normal use. I love the look of these for my older kids, but they broke- I replaced them, and those broke as well. Bentgo did replace them (after I replaced them myself the first round) but could not refund my money. They also sent the wrong colors. So now I have the dark gray, which my kids don't like, and inevitably these will also break. I know they are pretty, but don't waste your money. And if they do break- contact Bentgo the first time, unlike me I dumped a ton of money into the “look” of these. The quality is terrible.

We purchased two Bentgo Modern Lunch Boxes, and both are now unusable due to the exact same failure. In each case, the plastic hinge nubs on the lid snapped off entirely under normal use, causing the lids to detach. No drops. No abuse. No dishwasher mishaps. Just regular daily use — and the core structural component failed. That leaves us with zero functional lunch boxes despite paying for what is marketed as a durable, premium product. A lunch box whose lid cannot remain attached is not “wear and tear”; it is a fundamental design or materials defect. The most concerning part is the consistency: both units failed in the same way, which strongly suggests a systemic issue with the hinge design. If this is a known weak point, customers deserve to be warned — or the product should not be sold at this price point. This is not a cheap disposable container. Expectations are higher, and Bentgo has missed them badly here. Unless this issue is addressed with immediate replacements or refunds, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

I bought four of these as I meal prep my lunches on Sunday's. I've had two of them break at the hinges. I didn't post a review when the first one happened as I thought it may just have been a manufacture error but to have two break is a bit ridiculous. The other thing I don't like about it is that it isn't leak proof. You can't have something like yoghurt in one of the smaller compartments and a sandwich in another as the yoghurt will leak into the compartment with the sandwich in it. For a product that is as expensive at it is it is not something I'm happy with it be spending money on again.
