I owned the original for 15 years and loved it. I searched and tried the entire TP line to get the model that was closest to what I knew and landed on the Pro Adapt. Started with the medium and it became much too soft. Serious back pain in the morning. I then exchanged for a firm, which also just doesn't work for me because it seems to be equal parts squish and firm, which doesn't sync up with my brain. Every night I get into bed and wonder why it isn't more firm, or slightly more soft. It's a curious and uncomfortable mix of both. BE AWARE you can only make a return/exchange once. This second attempt left me with a very expensive bed that I can't return or change - it would be great if they changed this policy ☹️

We've had the bed for 5 months and my chronic back pain is gone. Before I got this bed I would go to bed in constant pain due to arthritis. Since I got this bed nightly back pain is gone. It took me awhile to get used to the feel (a couple weeks) but once I was used to it, it was great! This bed is worth the price.

We bought this bed 2 1/2 years ago, on recommendation from a family member.... salesman at Slummerland pushed this mattress...now I know why... depressions with mid bed "ridge" VERY uncomfortable on back and joints!!!! The 10 year warranty was denied... "depressions not deep enough".... NOW WORKING TO TELL EVERYONE NOT TO BUY TEMPUR PEDIC!!!!!!!!

The mattress itself is pretty comfortable. Not as comfortable as I thought it would be for the price, but it's a good mattress. I'm 6' around 175lb my wife is 5'9" around 125lb and we both sleep pretty sound..... but constantly wake up sweating. While the mattress does contour to your body, it also traps a lot of heat in and causes a lot of heat. If you sleep cold and want to be hot, you'll love it. If you're like most people and would like to sleep cool.... this isn't the mattress for you.

This is a mixed review of the Pro-adapt medium hybrid mattress. My husband is very pleased with it. I do not find it as soft as the model we tried out in the store. I wake up most mornings with pain in my back and hips that I did not have as often with my old mattress. I feel we will be purchasing a topper (another expense) of some sort in the future to make it better for me. Hopefully it will be still comfortable for him. I also do not like that I cannot sit on the side of the bed to put my slippers on in the morning. It slides me right off the bed.

Once you've laid on a Tempur-Pedic, you won't want anything else. The cooling effect from the mattress is wonderful, it really helps keep you comfortable through the night. The mattress even looks better than other mattresses. It's definitely a quality mattress that will last.

OMG when I tell you, it's the best night's rest you will ever get, this mattress fits my comfort so well. Other mattresses I have used in the past left my entire body sore the next morning. Now I wake up without pain. I couldn't wait to return from vacay to get in my bed. Oh, what a night I had. The only thing I'm unhappy about is that I did not purchase the one that goes up and down. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleeping on a Tempur-Pedic has been an end all. An exceptionally satisfying experience. Knowing I no longer have to look for a better mattress is calming. I'm getting the sleep I want and need. Waking up without aches and pains as most of us experience as we age, is such a bonus. This mattress just envelopes you with support. I love not thinking about how tired I am each morning. Tempur-Pedic completed my search in a very rewarding offer of comfort.

The mattress adapts to your every move, so your spine is properly aligned (with adjustable base); I now have a good night sleep and wake up ache free. The smell of the foam was not strong or offensive to my sensitive olfactory bulbs. The material over the foam is soft as silk, (good), but slippery, my fitted cotton sheets slip off during sleep. A mattress cover was recommended but not purchase, perhaps it will solve the slippery issue ???

First night and the mattress felt AMAZING! Even through the mattress's break-in period it still felt great! Little to no back pain next mornings, I can fall asleep much faster, and I wake up earlier feeling more restored and rested! Awesome mattress!
