Terrible ham, dont buy.

We returned the ham. It was greasy, too salty, and just the worst ham we ever bought.

Authentic country smokehouse ham!!

This is authentic country smokehouse ham. I was born and reared in southside Virginia-- we had our own hogs and smokehouse so I know REAL country ham when I see and taste it, and know how to fry it correctly. City folks likely won't be aware of nor recognize real authentic country ham so may not appreciate it; their taste buds tend to be more "pasteurized," and fooled by grocery store so-called "country ham." SAM'S NEEDS TO PUT THIS PRODUCT IN ALL THEIR WAREHOUSES!!

Clifty Farms Country Ham - delicious

I buy this ham whenever I go to TN to visit my parents. Then bring it back west with me. We love country ham, but cannot buy it in the desert southwest where we live. It is a rare treat for us to eat country ham. Clifty Farms makes delicious country ham, their slices are a pefect thickness. The ham is not too salty. Their slices of country ham are consistently good, not too much fat on them and not too much bone, so you are getting a good amount of meat for your money. Country ham is expensive! I guess it's the long smoking process that makes it so costly. I fry up country ham slices ( use up to TBS oil in skillet if necessary). Ham is done when the fat turns clear. Then make 'red-eye gravy", pouring strong black coffee into the skillet with the country ham drippings. Place fried ham slices into a casserole dish, pour the red eye gravy over the ham, with enough gravy to cover the ham. Cover and bake at 325° for 30 minutes. Serve with homemade biscuits. YUM.

Bad packaging

Bought this at Charlottesville Va in a pick up order. Got home and realized the air seal was broken. Meat is dried out. Called Sams and they said to return it but it is 60 miles round trip to return this item plus your time. It is not worth going through this even though the meat cost $19.84. I have bought this before and it was very good but this time Sams has caused the problem giving the unsealed package. There was no other assistance with this except returning it back to the store. Very disappointed!!!!
