Seriously derived from cardboard

There is simply no way to eat GOOD bread or pasta on a low carb diet. This literally tastes like cardboard, zero exaggeration. Will never buy a keto bread again. The low carb tortilla wraps are the only quality alternative.

Don’t buy if you like bread

The absolute worst bread I’ve ever had. The texture is like eating foam. It feels fibrous as in there are long strings. The feel in the mouth and the way it tears when you take a bite is extremely unpleasant. Flavor is not good either. Tastes like it’s made with some wood fibers. It is better toasted but I still can’t handle the texture.

Great carb substitute for those craving bread

I've bought this multiple times. I've had an instance where the bread molded even before I got through half of the first loaf. Other times I've finished both loaves without any problems. Not sure if it was just a bad batch. Overall, it's not as soft as regular bread but it's a great good substitute for those reducing carbs.

Beware the mold factor

The bread itself is okay. I mean what can one expect of a Keto bread that’s ultra low in carbs? However I have noticed that It goes moldy if left at room temperature. Apparently Sam’s does not for this last package I purchased ( for which I am writing this review) had mold on one of the loaves. I used the bread the same day I brought it home and had to throw away an entire loaf. Usually I would have taken it back to Sam’s but there was no time.

Sour-ish tasting

I guess I should stick with regular bread and not try to fool myself with something that looks like bread but tastes like a combination of play dough and sour dough. The crust has such a different texture from the middle that it’s off putting. The good news is that you can toast it with butter and it’s not too bad and toasting makes is lose it’s sour taste. There are better keto breads out there, but I’d much rather have a seed/grain bread than keto.

Mold very quick

Freeze one and use one as it got mold within a few days. This is a fluffier bread, which is actually good to make garlic bread. The slices are fairly large and not small like other brands. It taste fine but doesn’t last long so you will need to go through it quick. I leave bread on the counter in daylight, so perhaps I just got a bad batch.

KETO = VERY LOW glucose carbs. This is it. 1g each

If you are looking for a perfect bread comparison? You're out of luck. If you would like toast with your steak and eggs or have a ham and cheese sandwich? This is it. For comparison: Nature's Own Butterbread has 70 calories, 13g carbs and 0g fiber. That means you are taking in 26g of carbs that will turn to sugar for ONE sandwich or two pieces of toast. A normal diet goal is 130-220g carbs per day. A diabetic goal is 30-60g carbs per day. A KETO diet is to eliminate as much carbs as possible. So 20 - 50g carbs per day. Maybe even less. That said, This KETO bread has 10g carbs and 35 calories per slice but 9 GRAMS OF FIBER. The rule of thumb is fiber can be subtracted from total and the result is the amount of grams of carbs that are turned into glucose. Thats ONE GRAM of carbs per slice. 2g for a sandwich. So if you wanted to add a slice of cheese to your ham sandwich, now you have a total 3 grams of carbs per sandwich before adding your favorite high fiber greens. Yes, the texture is different, the taste is different. The ability to eat bread while on a KETO diet OR a diabetic is HUGE. This is a must have.

Ket bread without the Keto high cost.

I am very limited to what levels of carbohydrates I can eat and bread is notorious for being high in carbohydrates. I looked into keto types of food but they are very expensive and the selection is limited. I was in Sams the other day and i saw this twin loaf of KETO bread for a very reasonable price. Samsclub always carries high quality items at great prices so i was confident this is worth buying. So i read the label and it stated one net carbohydrate for a slice of bread. Bread carbohydrates range from 8-16 grams of carbs a slice, so to find a name brand offering a one gram slice was almost hard to believe. So i bought it, to my surprise it was just like a normal slice of bread, same taste i used to remember. Now the difference is the feel, this is a firmer bread, reminds me of Italian bread, a bit more chewy but no weird taste. Since this bread is firmer and i haven't been able to eat a hotdog since buns are 30-40 carbs i gave the bread a try. Kind of old school hotdog eating when we could not get buns. This firm slice held a samsclub hotdog nicely and stayed together down to the last bite. The bread toasts great, and i tried it as French toast and a low carb syrup. Oh my God, i can enjoy breakfast again and not only one day a week. Nature's Own KETO BREAD is so worth it, i brought 2 twin loaves and froze them incase this had a run in this stuff and i couldn't find it without paying double or more.
