I have spinal stenosis and decided to get the best matress available .The assessment at the store recomendded a Medium matress, however, I choose to get the firm one. It is not confortable . Too hard . I will exchange for a soft one. The product is good and the adjustable base gives you good options to sleep.

After struggling to sleep through the night for the past few years due to hot flashes and restlessness from hip & back pain, we decided to invest in the Tempur-ProAdapt cooling bed and it was worth it! I have been sleeping through the night for the first time in over a year. No more waking up hot and the Zero G feature has changed our sleep pattern so much, no more tossing and turning or pain in our backs & hips. My husband and I were both experiencing back problems from our over 10 year old pillow top. We have been sleeping on this mattress for several weeks now. To be honest, the first couple of nights were worrying. When you lay on the mattress you get the feeling as if you were in a sound proof room. Your movements are not free raged all over the bed. It's more like your body is absorbed where you lie, and it feels like a very slow quick sand until you fall asleep. It takes like 6 to 7 months to really soften up to your sleep positions, but is still firm enough to support your back. If you have an adjustable base it will not conform as well as the softer mattresses because it is Firm. Unless, you use the new lumbar support adjustable base by TempurPedic. Although, while laying down, it flexes some; it needs body weight. I have tried several mattresses from Sleep Number, to Purple mattresses even Hybrid mattresses and Organic mattresses. Tempur pedic is the best one, especially if you have joint pain, musculoskeletal issues and fibromyalgia this is the mattress for you. Also, if you have sensitive skin it is great since it doesn't compress the skin, is dust-mite resistant and less likely to attract bedbugs. I chose a Firm mattress, because I know over time the mattresses get softer. Also, I didn't want to have to buy another mattress for a very long time. Of course you choose one to your own comfort and needs. I do recommend you go to a Tempur Pedic store first and try the different types, do your homework before you make a selection. Remember your bed is the one place you go to release, relax and rest..choose it well. Its the one investment you won't regret!

I have been using this bed for over a month now. I really love the flexibility it provides to raise on either side, particularly for my consistent reading habits. The firmness helps a lot more for my back support. Sleeping patterns have changed for betterment. In all a great gift for myself.

I finally just bought this one, and when I say I have never slept better, its an understatement. I actually sleep through the night now, and my husband who has a bad back hasn't complained in one month. It was a costly investment, but after the great sleep we are getting it is well worth it.
