My fiancé has been talking about the CrossWave for years. I mostly ignored him, because obviously I know everything. But after too many days with five dogs, a 7-year-old, and a yard that apparently produces unlimited dirt, I finally broke down and ordered one. The box arrived and I opened it immediately, set everything up, filled the tank, and started cleaning. Within seconds I had brown water pooling everywhere. The machine looked like it was just spreading muddy swamp water across my floor. Instead of using my brain to troubleshoot like a rational adult, I spent half the tank of water mentally drafting the most brutal review ever written. I was furious that I had just spent this much money on a machine that seemed designed to spread dirt around as efficiently as possible. Finally, I went back to the instructions. It said the brush might be too wet or there could be a clog. A clog seemed unlikely considering I had owned the machine for about seven minutes, but I pulled the roller out anyway. And there it was — a soaking wet piece of cardboard from the packaging jammed in the brush. I removed it, put everything back together, and tried again. And suddenly the thing worked perfectly. The suction was back and stronger than ever. The steam came pouring out. My floors looked amazing — which is impressive considering my five dogs seem personally committed to keeping the floors muddy. So the CrossWave HydroSteam works great st. No streaking, no leftover water, and not a single muddy paw print. My only criticism is the debris separator. I think the design could be improved. There's nowhere to set the filter/lid while you're pulling the separator out, dumping debris in the trash, and then running to the toilet to dump the dirty water. It turns into a slightly chaotic balancing act. I strongly recommend removing the packaging from the machine before using it. (Apparently that step is important.) If your house deals with the same level of chaos that mine does — kids, dogs, mud everywhere — this machine is absolutely worth it. And if it seems like it's spreading brown water everywhere… check the roller first. Trust me. Unfortunately, my fiancé was right. Please don't tell him I said that.

When I first got this product I fell in love. It did everything I wanted it to do however the first problem with it was the trigger quit dispensing water. I tried of course everything to get it to work and ended up exchanging it for No. 2. First use went well I didn't mop again for 2 weeks and now no water would come out to the floor. After an hour of going through troubleshooting still wouldn't work and had to exchange that one for No. 3. So I am on No. 3 and this one didn't even work when I took it out of the box, called customer service and video called them for 45 minutes until it got to work. 2 days later I went to mop again and it won't work again. You have no idea how badly I wanted this to work I Loath mopping and this was perfect for me till it wasn't. I wouldn't invest in this product.. try something else.

AWFUL. The experience I have had with this CrossWave is upsetting. Bissel replaced it when I told them it leans over and doesn't clean well. They sent me a replacement and it has the same problem. WASTE of my time and money. Sure, it sort of cleans. But it leans over when stored and tips over easily. Additionally, it does not steam clean near walls or cabinets along the edges. UGH. They really should replace this with the newer model.

We purchased the big green clean machine three years ago. The carpet in the high-level townhome that we had where we were renting had carpet that was 28 years old and had stains even after it was professionally cleaned they tried steam cleaning they tried chemical cleaning, etc.. so I decided to try buying the big green clean machine and oh my goodness on the first cleaning the water was almost like mud water so over the years the carpet lightened the first past got the majority of stains out and we’re talking stains that were in there for years and years. That was the best money we ever spent on any product. We absolutely love it now we’ve moved to all on one floor apartment that is all vinyl so we’re going to try the cross wave for something like that with Bissell. All I know is we just love that machine and I’m sure it’s going to sell quickly. I wish they had a trade-in program. Lol. But if you really want a great carpet cleaning machine that’s the tool for you and oh the attachment for upholstery clean the stairs beautifully. I think the stairs were more filthy than the carpet was we also cleaned our couch with upholstery to and it worked well. You just can’t go wrong. I can’t imagine the money we saved in professional carpet, cleaning bills

This is my 1st review ever - but a must as I'm so mad at bissell and furthermore Sam's for misrepresenting this product! I read mixed reviews and positives were so overwhelmingly positive I purchased this. I would definitely say worst purchase and value of anything I've ever purchased. Vacuum power is horrible. Dirty water constantly comes out wherever you land, the second you stop moving! Steam works about 5 sec, then to cont you have to hold button down which dispenses steam plus cleaner constantly. Not even a quarter of water i dispensed got sucked up....where did it go you may ask???? Dirty evaporated water redistributed all over my floor....that's where! Watched videos, read suggestions etc only to discover this is evidently the product performance. Never ever will I purchase a bissell product of any kind again. Waste of my time to package up and send back. I feel like i got temu or wish bait and switched....Bissell and sams should be paying me for my wasted time and effort. Back to my shark.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using a steam mop for quite some time and never felt it was actually getting the dirt up. I felt like all it was doing was pushing The dirt around. So today I went out and purchased this item. Used it right away and was thoroughly impressed. And not leave any streaks on the floor which was a concern of mine. Also like the fact that instead of pushing the dirt around it would actually suck it into a tank ensuring the floor was actually clean. I have two dogs that have accidents from time to time so this was definitely a big plus. It was amazed by how much pet hair was picked up even after I vacuumed it prior to using this product. The only reason why I vacuum was to get some of the larger things that was on the floor including where my dogs ripped the stuffing out of their toys. I like using the steam feature. You can actually see the steam coming up where the vacuum meets the floor. It is super easy to clean.

With three large indoor dogs, my floors face constant hair, muddy paws, and messes. The BISSELL CrossWave HydroSteam vacuums, mops, and steams in one pass—picking up hair without tangles, removing sticky spots easily, and leaving tile/hardwood spotless with no streaks! Amazing product !

Would give a zero if possible. I bought this based on the vdo showing real steam cleaning, but upon using there was zero steam coming out. Returned and got another, which wasn't my original but a use one, still didnt work no steam. I Wish Bissell would fix this then it would be great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our home consists of multiple different flooring types including tile, carpet, area rugs, wood and laminate. And in our home we have two young children and a golden retriever so the floors get a constant array of messes. Floors, I'll admit, are my pet peeve and with my family feel like I'm constantly cleaning. I actually use to have a floor steamer but because our main living area was replaced with laminate I couldn't use it on the floors anymore. So it steered me away from buying any floor cleaning machines. But the great thing about this machine is you can choose the setting or floor type to have steam or no steam by the ease of a button by the handle. What I love the most is that as I'm vacuuming and washing the laminate I can easily clean my area rug (especially the areas that the dog lays the most) and with a push of a button I can change the setting from floor to carpet. And then easily switch again to steam option on my tiles. Bonus is the machine has a self cleaning option as well!! Literally takes the hassle out of cleaning your house. I'm able to take the lid of the brush to let the item air to prevent any musky smells. I'm actually excited to use the machine because I can get the floors cleaning in half the time, no vacuuming before and then mop. The floors are clean and the true test is the kids socks are still white at the end of the day! The power cord is long. I love the cleaning solutions, it leaves no streaks marks on either the laminate and tile. The smell is great, fresh smelling but no overwhelming. The tanks are easy to clean with a strainer that catcher the hair and bigger items. The light on the front is great to see all the debris on the floor. Packaging of the product ensure the machine came in mint condition, the only issue was a solution bottle had a cracked lid.
