We wanted to try tempur-pedic mattresses after my husband slept on one in his sister's house. We did a lot of research ahead of time and visited showrooms with the products. We chose hybrid because it lessens motion transfer. This product was way softer than we anticipated and after just a few weeks neither of us was sleeping well and both of us woke up with hip, back and knee pain. We sent the mattress back.

I thought I knew what I was going to get my self into which this type of mattress but I had no idea it was going to change my sleep so drastically. The first day I slept in this mattress I did not toss and turn at all. My back does not hurt anymore and I don't feel tired when I wake up. This was a great investment.

My wife and I live physical lives and are very fit. We purchased the firm option and its definitely not a bed you can just jump into as it feels like jumping on wood. That being said, as you lay in it, the mattress molds to your body in the most perfect manner. After a few weeks it does soften a bit but not in a bad way. Our sleep is phenomenal with absolutely no more night disturbances or tossing and turning. If you've had it with soft plush beds that leave you feeling sore each day I cannot recommend this one enough. So worth the extra dollars. Best investment we've made.

When I get into the ProAdapt mattress, my focus becomes SLEEP. It is an amazingly advanced mattress in terms of quality, support, and still provides a plush, cloud-like feeling as if you're slowly sinking into the bed, long after you've already laid down. I am getting full nights sleep EVERY night now, am having no issues whatsoever with the product or their wonderful support team, and encourage anyone who is looking to buy a new bed to truly consider making it a TEMPUR-PEDIC purchase! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the ProAdapt Soft and tried it for more than the recommended 30 day break-in period. The bed is very well made and you can tell it is quality the first time you lay down. We went with the soft option but it wasn't as soft as we were expecting. Our expectation is that it would be similar to a pillow top but form more to your body which wasn't the case. We opted for the return/refund which was a painless transaction. Customer service was great from beginning to end! Even though this didn't work out for my wife and I it doesn't take anything away from this great company and product. I can see now why so many people give 5 star reviews. Thank you for the great experience.

It is a firm/medium feel. You can sleep close to the edge without falling off. My back pain is much less then before. But not totally gone. I have only been sleeping on it for about a month. The big question is, was it worth the money? If you have an extra $4,000 it would be fine. I wouldn't go into debt to get one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got our new TEMPUR-ProAdapt® just as my wife was coming home for the hospital to recover from a broken pelvis. The bed not only provided the perfect slant for comfort, it also has a massage element. Needless to say, this mattress was notches above any in the hospital. If it were possible I would strongly urge hospitals and nursing homes to replace their beds with TEMPUR-ProAdapt®. I am recommending them to all my friends.

We used to have a memory foam only mattress and recently purchased a hybrid version. While the full foam one was slow to warm up and then continued to get warmer all evening, the hybrid mattress has a much more consistent temperature. It also feels more plush, without sinking too far into the mattress.

We decided to swap an older I-Comfort for the Tempur-Pedic. We have a Tempur-Pedic in our guest room which used to be our mattress. After the I-Comfort started to break down, we decided to go with what we knew had like. There was a marked difference in the Tempur over the I-Comfort. We are sleeping better and waking up with no aches in pains. I would encourage buyers to go to a retail outlet and not buy on-line.
