Lifesaver in Blackout

Purchased this last week due to an emergency power outage in our area. This was a lifesaver during that time, as it allowed us to run an air conditioner, some fans and my husband CPAP at the same time. Did not have to fill two frequently and was super easy to use throughout the process.

Solid performer at an amazing price

I have owned 2 honda inverter generators which generally worked well and ran quietly but the price was insanely high and in the end I decided to try an alternative and liked the look and specs of the Westinghouse products so I initially ordered the iGen2200 for my race car track use and found it in many ways nicer than the much more expensive Honda genset, although it was a bit louder. I ended up needing another genset so bought the iGen2550c and again it works very well and is quiet enough for my needs. Pro tip: whether you purchase a Honda or Westinghouse genset, you need to rotate the choke to the setting that produces the smoothest engine note - this is where the air/fuel ratio is optimized. Leaving the genset choke at the the indentation position for 'warm' running is not always the ideal position and may result in surging or less efficient fuel consumption - if you are using stale gas you will need to move the choke closer to the 'cold start' position.

Great Product

I bought this for emergency power and it is exactly what I needed. It is easy to start so far all I have used is propane which works fine. I am able to carry it with one hand which is great and it is not very loud. So far I am very please with my purchase.

Amazing, indispensable item!

As many of us found out with Hurricane Helene, you can never be too-prepared! I would have had this generator a lot sooner. Having made bought this, I feel that my emergency/prep cache has become immensely improved. I look forward to many years of (hopefully) not having to use it, but will possess the comfort of it's power should we need it!

Easy to use small generator

Had a little trouble starting unit out of the box but Westinghouse support got me up and running. Quiet unit for small jobs like one fridge, lights and device charging. Would certainly recommend for a emergency back-up during post storm power loss and/or camping.

Great Inverter Generator

Bought this to use both stand alone and in parallel with my iGen5000DFc. Both are quiet enough to use in National Parks when travelling, but can also use to back up critical power needs at home for emergencies. Opened up, followed quick start instructions, ran - loaded and unloaded, tested all features and outlets, etc. Very happy with test results and purchase.

Great Generator

I bought this for our Aspen Trail camper and it works great. It is light weight , compact, and reasonably quiet. The best thing is the duel fuel feature. No need to haul heavy gasoline, just fill the tank for a back up fuel source and use propane. We can run the AC, electric fireplace, microwave and TV and feel right at home in remote areas. For retirees, who are past the stage of "roughing it" this is a real asset.

GREAT SMALL GENERATOR

Just got this when we had a storm related power outage. My older generator had sat too long and had bad gas. The iGen2550 was able to power 2 refrigerators and a chest freezer. The only caveat is that you should plug in one cooling device at a time. If they all kick in at once, it can overload the generator and trigger the overload circuit breaker.

Excellent Product

I bought the iGen2550 generator back in May, and have used the generator extensively since then. We purchased the product to power tools where we don't have access to a power supply and a mobile inflatable that our company owns. The iGen is lightweight and has a descent running time (for our purposes). We are extremely happy with this product.

Great little generator

I have bought this for camping, finally a small generator with a TT-30R plug. Dual fuel is great asset too when camping with a trailer, as the trailer has propane. The trailer has solar panel to charge the batteries but many times I trembled when early in May snow fell, covered the panel, there was no solar charging, and the batteries were falling below 50%. With the little generator I can have AC in the summer, and run propane heater (battery guzzler) as much as I want during the cold nights. It works nicely, can't complain,
