Sound Power!

As an MC and race announcer I am in need of power when a plug in source is not available and this unit has proved to carry the load of my voice and streaming music through my sound system for hours on end. Pretty user friendly for a non mechanical/technical operator like myself and any issues I've had would have been alleviated if I would have JUST READ THE DIRECTIONS! Personally I like the color because it ties in with my logo and separates itself from others being used at events. Would buy another if I'd ever need to.

Great generator

I was looking for something versatile that would be easy to take camping but could also power some larger household appliances in an emergency. This does both. It is super quiet for a generator and runs great. I like the eco mode for lower loads since it allows the generator to be quieter. Ran smoothly out of the box and starts up first pull since then. No issues to date and I have to echo previous positive reviews.

I really like it!

I purchased iGen2500 power inverter generator, as I needed occasional backup in case of power disruption in my area. Focus was on the quiet operation as well as enough power supply to run fridge and start the furnace, plus some additional lighting in the house. This seems to meet my requirements. I appreciate the extra wattage of 2,200 (most lower cost units offered 1,800 running power). The unit seems to be reasonably quiet, as long as there is no demand to full power (unit has the variable engine speed, as all the inverter generators). It is portable, not too heavy. Started in the first trial. I like the control display center panel, with information about the power output, remaining run time, etc. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and recommend the unit.

Great inverter

I have only had this one week and really havnt used it since I took a couple of hours breaking it in with a 1500 watt electric heater. It powered the heater without a struggle and ran real smooth but not quite as quiet as I thought it would be when under load.

Nice and compact and works well

I like this little generator. Starts up right away easily and ran for a couple hours just to see it's continuous operation under the efficiency setting. A gallon of gas will last all day or more in this little thing. Lots of output too. Only downside is the oil fill location is awkward but that only has to be changed infrequently so it's ok.

Great power for a small portable generator

I'm very impressed with everything the 2500 has to offer. For a small premium over competitors with much less proven history, you get much more features. Display is user-friendly and simple to understand. A fuel vent would be nice on the 2500. only issue was the inside near the oil cover had some pretty significant damage, and I am hoping westingHouse Will stand by their warranty or resolve the issue with the shipper. I will update this review. I got this unit as an upgrade from a 2350 wen And it is well worth the expense from what I can tell so far.

Nice Generator Happy With Purchase

I have had the generator for about a month. I have close to 30 hrs. on it so far. I am very happy with the machine. It powers my boat battery charger and the refrigerator and 2 burner electric stove. Also powered my friends off the grid house running all the lights and large screen TV.... And the Microwave. It runs a long long time on a gallon a gas. I was running it around 50% load and less than a half gallon of fuel lasted around 6 hrs. I did have a problem right out of the box though. I filled the gas and then started the generator for the first time. It started leaking fuel. I turned the generator off and the leak stopped. I removed the side cover looking for the leak as I turned the fuel back on. It looked to be leaking somewhere behind the carburetor. I lightly tapped on the carburetor float bowl. Was still leaking and could not tell from where. Turned the fuel back off. I removed more of the covers until I could get a better look and found it leaking between the carb and the engine. With that I realized it was a stuck float. easy..I can forgive a stuck float. Poor baby must have had a rough ride getting to me. I rapped sharply on the float cover with the handle of my screwdriver and the float broke free and the leak stopped. I reassembled the outside covers and started the generator and it ran great. I changed the oil at about 10 hrs. and again at 20 hrs. I have been running the methanol free fuel, and I run it till its empty. I learned to be careful about how much fuel I put in as a little goes a very long way. I am so impressed with this little generator. Its well built. Light weight, Quiet, and starts easy.

Peace of mind, great generator for the money!

We bought this generator after looking at more expensive models and decided this had everything we needed to run our freezer in case of an extended power outage. It is extremely well-built and seems like it is well designed and will last a long time, I hope we never need to use it. It has all of the features you would ever want in a generator including eco mode and low oil alert. It also has a fuel gauge and a lifetime hours gauge for your maintenance schedule. The price point on this is very attractive as it is about 1/3 of the price of similar models. We trust the Westinghouse name and it has a 3-year warranty

Starts on first pull. Smooth running

I'm running the generator in its break in period right now, varying my watt loads. Added oil, pulled the starter and it fired right up. Very quiet machine. Runs smooth. Really like the display showing power output, fuel remaining, time remaining and engine hours. I will run the gas out of the tank and the drain the carburetor and then store the machine. This was purchased for home back up power in case of an outage. Planning to run a freezer and fridge (alternating between the two), DSL modem and and couple LED light bulbs. Lots of research before the purchase. Felt this represented the best blend of features. I do wish it had a fuel shut off setting so that the gas would get used up in the carburetor before shut down. Hope to never have to actually use it.

Nice features

The Westinghouse iGen2500 is not whisper quiet but is much quieter than my old 7500 model. I like the high efficiency mode as it runs a lot quieter with smaller loads. I like the built in display showing various modes. The supplied screw in oil funnel is a nice feature as well. After adding the supplied oil and required fuel, it started with just a few pulls. This is a good size. Any bigger and it would require wheels or a dolly.
