When I first got it, I put in the oil and gas and after a few pulls it started right up. Since then, it starts within three pulls every time. Easy to start and I love the information on the LED screen regarding fuel, run time, output capacity, and overload protection. Easy to use and understand. Nice and quiet too.

I bought this unit for emergencies and was impressed with how easy it is to use. It fires up fast and runs fairly quiet for a generator. it easily charged a phone and provided some light when needed. I didn't plug in anything heavy duty so far, but based on the running watts it should work great for some appliances like my fridge.

We bought this unit to use with our restored vintage camper. Especially for campsites with no electricity. I researched many units, where I considered the size, the decibels, cost, and customer reviews. I was surprised to find that this unit had one of the lowest dB on the market (even acknowledging that the dB increases with the load). Hopefully the unit will holdup to the reviews. The unit came with oil (equal to what is needed in unit), came with a screw-in funnel to make oil filling more convenient, the digital display is very nice, where the numbers are easy to read. Disappointed that it does not give the kilowatt output. We have not tested it under a heavy extended load, but connected to our small camper and we were able to run a small fridge (with a small freezer) and a microwave (950 watt), along with a couple of fans and lights, where the load was at 75%. We plan to purchase a small AC unit as well. The unit is easy to move around, and did not have to worry about burning your leg on the exhaust. The size and weight is manageable. The unit is more difficult to start when it is warm. We did buy a magnetic oil plug to use initially - based on the reviews of others. It looks like some metal flecks were collected on the plug. Unfortunately, you need to be careful when removing the plug, because oil will run out of the unit if you do not tip it back. The unit ran for 4 hours on less than a half gallon of gas. I will update this review after using it in a real situation.

I bought this to use at football game tailgates after walking by all the tailgaters around and noticing which generators were the quiet ones. This Westinghouse was quiet as the “red” one and cost less than half as much! I've already found it handy to use while working in my barn to power a fan and lights.

Our iGen2500 generator didn't work straight out of the box, when pouring gasoline in it poured out the bottom, so I'm guessing its missing some pieces. My husband called Westinghouse Customer Supp, they were super helpful and very responsive, so I feel 100% sure that our unit will be replaced.

Purchased this generator for lightweight backup use after much research. Knowing NOTHING about generators, mainly purchased this model for the digital panel that indicates fuel and output level so I had confidence with what I was working with. Good directions for easy set up, and overall 48lbs. is manageable. It's not that loud, but not super quiet (after all it's a motor) - very pleased with the purchase! Seems to run everything I need for short term use.

I really like the LED Data Center on the Control Panel. Knowing the amount of wattage being drawn (shown in kilowatts) along with current fuel level, as well as remaining run time based on power demand are all very useful features. Other impressive features are a larger engine than most competitors in same class, (displacement of 98cc, instead of 79 or 80), enabling 2500 surge and 2200 continuous running watts . A little harder to start than anticipated but overall a good product at a competitive price.

This is a review of my second igen2500 puchase within a week, just like the first generator it started on the first pull, quiet ect... and with the second generator I was able to parallel them together it was very easy I watch the demand load on the display both generators shared the load equally a great piece of mind to have power to run refridgerators, lights, charge cell phones ect... when your power is out.

I bought this 3 weeks ago to be ready for hurricane season. Got the generator delivered in less than a week. Got it filled with oil and gas and it started very easy. My wife even started it without any issues. Easy to move with one person. Great product and glad we have one if we have any power issues.

After weeks of searching for a compatible generator that would work to power my trailers air conditioning system yet still light enough for the wife to carry, I came across this 2500. I was shocked to see that even though it was a 2500 that it's running watts was still at 2200. Most other gens would be around the 17-1800 running watts. This provides more than enough power to keep my family cool while dry camping. I know that fuel time wont be as long as a larger gen but as long as I keep filling the tank this gen will keep on running. The only downside was that my gen was missing a fuel filter. After a quick chat with Westinghouse we got a case created and I am now waiting on a new filter.
