Please bring these back in-store

I love the flavor of these noodles. Finding a good curry flavor ramen can be difficult. I originally purchased several boxes of these in the local Sam's Club and found them quite tasty, and was disappointed when they stopped selling them locally. I'm very pleased these became available on the web site, but would still prefer to see them make a reappearance in stores (even on a periodic or temporary basis), because then I wouldn't have to pay shipping. Personally, I'm not a vegan, so that aspect isn't a huge benefit... but if YOU are, then you should definitely give these a try. They are quite tasty just as they are. If you're not, it's still a delicious curry base, to which any number of proteins could be added. Just a hint... Sam's Club still sells rotisserie chickens at a phenomenal price, and that makes for an amazingly good curry chicken with very little effort and not much money. Enjoy.

Bring Them Back!

Love the flavor profile. It is similar to the Lamb Curry recipe from the old big red Betty Crocker hardcover cookbook from the mid-20th century. The two big differences are that these don't have any of the sweetness that the recipe I mentioned gets from apples and these are Vegan so you can add any protein you want to maintain your preferred diet. I found grilled chicken, seitan, shrimp, or lamb to be my preference. Fair warning: I prefer to make these by adding the flavor packet to the bowl, then add the recommended amount of water, then microwave on high (my microwave is 1100 Watts) for 5 minutes and let them rest in the unopened microwave for another minute, then stir and add any proteins. This causes the noodles to be fully (maybe even a little over) cooked but unlike typical ramens as these won't really create much of a broth. The noodles are closer to a Lo Mein with the sauce really absorbed into and stuck to the noodles instead of creating a broth. Additionally beware using metal utensils in the paper bowl. I have had a couple with a spot of damage on the bottom of the bowl that caught my fork or chopsticks as I stirred the dish after cooking. My metal fork actually tore through (just barely) but it could create a mess.

Do it

If you are a fellow ramen and curry lover like myself do yourself a favor and buy this! It is SO GOOD and it is pretty spicy! I love it it has excellent flavor! If you don’t like your ramen super mushy I do recommend only cooking it for about 3 minutes! Absolutely delicious!

Absolutely must for vegan noodle lovers!

Having been a long-term lover of all things noodles, especially Nongshim Shin Ramyun, this was definitely something missing in my life after I became vegan. While this is not Shin Ramyun, Nongshim has created an excellent product for vegan noodle lovers. This is Maggi Masala meets Shin Ramyun. If you want to zhuzh it up with some additional dried/fresh veggies, some Buldak sauce to increase the spice level, it is absolutely delicious. One note of caution: DO NOT MICROWAVE as instructed on the bowl. Instead, do the usual instant ramen technique. Heat some boiling water in a kettle, pour to the level, put something on top of the lid, and leave it for 5-7 minutes. This keeps the noodles bouncy [without them becoming mushy as happens in the microwave] with the flavours well integrated. Sam's Club, please don't make this a limited time thing. There are others vegans like me who want this around forever and forever. Most instant ramen noodles have one thing or another that makes it inaccessible to vegans. Please keep this delightful item around!

I Recommend

These curry noodle soups are really good. I guess the best way to say how good is to tell you that I plan to order them again when I get close to running out. I usually add steamed shreded cabbage, matchstick carrots and thin sliced onions and a dash of toasted sesame oil, but they are also great as is. I sure hope Sam's continues to carry them and keeps them in stock.

Very good!

Finally I have a vegan ramen to eat from Sams! The first time I tried it, it was too spicy for my taste, so what I did is pour half of the seasoning and now its more tolerable! I hope to see more vegan ramen products :)

Sadly the texture was lacking on these noods too stick even when rinsed it was going to be cheap cheat day meals but just not worth it texture and taste wise heck I'd give chili ramen a higher score

Pretty bland, other than curry

I was really excited for a vegetarian option but disappointed by the flavor. Cons I don't feel it has a good blend of flavor as stated in the description. I like curry, but that's about all I taste. I also feel the overall taste is very bland. I have to add a dash of soy sauce to make it edible. I'm sure there's another combination that would make it taste better, but I bought them for convenience, so that's all I've got time to add to it. Pros: The bowls are big, and I feel like they're filling. Cooking is convenient - add water, microwave 4 minutes. If you're into adding ingredients to your noodle bowls, the blandness would probably make this a pretty good base for a curry. Comments: It's pretty spicy, I think more so than their spicy chicken noodle bowls.
