I did my research and found Generac to be the best for a full house generator. The price, the features, the size, the look and the company itself were all the reasons I decided to go with Generac. This was a perfect combination for our needs. I liked the product so much, I gathered 7 of my neighbors to purchase one as well. All did their own research and decided that this was the best choice.

Purchased a 22KW unit online and saved around $400.00. Decided to purchase a GenPad to mount the generator on. This made site preparation and installation easier. Our generator started right up (on propane) and runs quietly. We are very pleased with the generator and now have a sense of security when the next power outage occurs!

We live in a remote location and our home is primarily all electric. We wanted a solution to be able to keep the house running like normal, even if we were away for extended periods. This model gave us the ability to not worry about what would and wouldn’t work during an outage. We already had a short few hour outage and everything worked like normal while we were away. We only knew there was an outage because the neighbour texted us to say our generator kicked in and all was good. Now that is peace of mind!

Because we live in Connecticut where Eversource is a terrible supplier of power since every major storm knocks our power out for about 6 days, this unit has been very reliable since we had it installed in 2010. We have had three power outages of 6 days in that time, the latest from Tropical Storm Isaias which knocked out power for over 700,000 customers this past week. The generator started and ran for 6 days with no problems as it always has, powering 80% of our home with a steady, even supply of power. We have two propane tanks holding just over 200 lbs. of propane so the generator can run for 6 days without a refill. After six days we get the oil changed and the tanks refilled so it can go further, but usually right when we do that the power is restored. So this generator has been perfect for us. The unit has been hit by lightning once (we live on a 600 foot mountain on the top of it) so the motherboard has been replaced, and the engine recently needed to have its rubber oil seals replaced as it was leaking a little oil, but besides that the unit has held up tremendously well. If we need to replace it we will definitely buy Generac again as we have many times over saved a lot of money by not needing to go to a hotel when our power is out since we live on well water and without water - you cannot stay home very long even if you stock up on it.

Have piece of mind when winter storm warnings are predicted; don't want another experience like ice storm of 2009 where we were without power for weeks. Installer did a professional job at installation. Took extra time to install elevated surface so snow drifts won't restrict exhaust during run time. Looks great and runs on time, every time.

I live in an area where we lose power at least 2 time during winter and for multiple days. The aggravation of rolling out my small generator and running extension cords through a windows and doors “ARE OVER”, Thanks to Gen-Tech Power Systems in the Buffalo, NY area. The sales & service people are excellent, and the installation went very well. My family and I are very pleased on how professional everything was handled. I have had a long history with Generac emergency power systems from my 40 years as a General Supt of Power Operations in NYC Transit. Our crews started using portable trailer mounted units to supply critical power to train signal circuits and other necessary power needs in our substations. The reliability of these machines made a positive impact on Transit by reducing train delays and ensuring the people of NYC experienced as little delay as possible, in their commuting during local power outages. Knowing this, when I retired and moved to rural Hubertus Wisconsin, Generac was my first and only choice when I decided to have emergency power installed. My new unit is quiet and now, with winter storms looming, I guess it will get a workout when needed. I am talking on Amateur radio each day, and several "hams" have started the process of having Generac systems installed in their homes. One fellow in Connecticut was fed up with the days and yes, weeks, long outages so he purchased his Generac which is to be installed very soon. I guess one can say we are satisfied customers and are thankful for the quality products offered by your company!

July 6/23 Tony and crew Mitchell & Jacob completed the full instal with a mini demo of power fail. Sat July 8/23 had a slight problem with the Mobil Link and contacted Mobil link Support and Todd had us online in no time a very nice informative feature. Given that I have full COPD and require 24/7 home oxygen this type of product gives Judy and myself a great deal of comfort/peace of mind that we will be looked after in the event of a power fail. The team at Storm Guardian Generators out of Alvin, TX did an awesome Job. Got many calls about the installation dates and time. Came early on the date, (was cool with me). Got everything completed in a timely manner. Cleaned everything up when finished. And now we wait for center point, not there fault. I would have to say this is a very reliable company and was very competitive on the estimate and gave me more than what other companies were offering. Thanks!! Very much appreciated! The system was just configured and powered up today. For it's size, it's extremely quiet. When the tech first started it, I could just barely hear it in the house. Just a low hum. Also, when he tested the auto switch, nothing in my house "noticed" the change between normal power and the generator. It also obviously has plenty of power to run everything in my house. This is a 2267 sq.ft. four bedroom 3 bath house. We turned the AC way down to get it to kick in and the generator didn't miss a beat. Thank you.
