I found what’s looks like a wishbone inside of a shrimp that my husband was eating.. I’m not sure who I should contact about this but he almost choked on it and when I broke it apart it definitely looked like a bone inside.

These shrimp smelled rancid upon opening. Unfortunately since it is Christmas Eve, we cannot get replacements. The country of origin on these is India,lot code 1A23 Plant code 36129053 I do not recommend these at all.

I have brought this shrimp several times and sometimes the packaging is different. Also the shrimp is different inside the package. I think the firm shrimp is a better quality. I never know when the best shrimp is available. But I do recommend this product.

The shrimp that came in the white and clear bag were very good. Now they are being sold in a blue and clear bag and they are not the same quality. They must have changed supplier and these are now just the standard frozen shrimp. They should remove all of the old reviews because this is not the same product everyone liked and reviewed so favorably before.

My family is obsessed with this shrimp. It’s so good and easy to cook since they are deveined. I always keep the shell on when cooking for optimal flavor. They don’t shrink when cooked and have a sweet taste to them. Definitely DO NOT taste farm raised. You won’t regret buying these, plus, for the price it’s unbeatable. Well done Sam’s!!!

This is the first time and the last time purchasing these, supposed to be jumbo suze shrimp. The packaging should say large or smaller. All sizes were in this bag. I only buy jumbo size shrimp. In our household, we eat shrimp on a regular basis. This product did not make the cut for our household.

I bought these shrimp to butterfly, coat, and fry. There was not enough meat to butterfly. I ended up just shelling the shrimp and frying them like popcorn shrimp. There were about 3 or 4 shrimp that I would classify as large but, the rest were medium at best. When I bought the package I didn't inspect the contents carefully because i've always trusted Members Mark and Sam's. Im hoping it was a labelling mistake, otherwise, it's a rip-off.

After total defrost out of the bag, the shrimp still weighed 3 pounds. After the shell and tail removed the shrimp weighed 2.2 pounds, which is normal. Some of the shrimp are ragged out that I believe from a dull deveining machine. These shrimp are farm raised which means they are milder than gulf caught, but I prefer farm raised.

I'm going to compare these to the best shrimp available, which is the 2 lb. tail-on jumbo shrimp, also at Sam's. It is slightly more expensive ($1.50/lb. more), but well worth it. We buy a lot of shrimp as it is one of our favorite foods. And the 2 lb. shrimp are much better than even the competing other big box store's shrimp. Though they call the 3 lb. bag jumbo, 21 - 30 per pound, the majority of the shrimp are not even large, they are medium. In the 2 lb. bag of tail-on shrimp, those are listed as 21 - 25 per lb., and they are mostly jumbo. Peeling these " EZ peel" shrimp is pretty easy when they are first boiled and still warm. After being refrigerated though, it becomes quite a bit more difficult. As for "de-veining", the 2 lb. bag shrimp are generally very clean. The shrimp in this 3 lb. bag however, are not. Many need to be cut on the back of the lower tail and even on the upper part of the body where it has already been cut, but often has large amounts of dark green "vein", which is actually part of their digestive system. The taste though is quite good.

I’m very satisfied and impressed with this lot of shrimp. They’re nice size and fresh. There are plenty in the bag, and they are PARTIALLY deveined. The veins on the bottom are still there, but for me that’s not a deal breaker. It takes no time to remove it. All in all, I’m very pleased with my purchase and I highly recommend them.
