Outstanding

This tire is one of the best kept secret! Rivals with couple of much more expensive brands I had. Unfortunately, as the reviews are getting more 5 stars, the price is going up. I put 10,000 K on them and they are sooo quiet, traction in rain is excellent, in snow is normal. They lean a little bit more in corners, noticeable only in sharp 90 degrees curves over 40 mph. Highly recommended.

at the present time my experience with this product is good

these tires are used on our everyday vehicle for all driving in all weather and road conditions.  so far they have provided good traction and gripping of the road.  have not had an opportunity to travel at sustained highway speeds so I am not sure of the road noise we would experience.

Great Tire at a Reasonable Price

I have used Pirelli tires for years. Driving a car now that's not ""sports"" oriented I decided to follow the review by Tire Rack and went with the AltiMAX RT43. I have not been disappointed, these tires are good in wet and dry and offer great value.

One of the best set of tires that I have owned.

Bought these tires about 3 weeks ago for a trip from OH to FL on our mini van.  The trip down was dry weather and the ride was very quiet and smooth.  The way back home however was down pour and high cross winds.  The tires really held up during that trip.  I hit standing water on the freeway going about 60 mph at about 11:30PM, scared me, but noticed that the van held it's grip to the road.  If I had to do it all over again I would and will buy these tires in the future.

> 20,000 mile longevity on a FWD Jetta TDI

Was told at 16k miles that these needed to be replaced as they wouldn't pass state inspection due to advanced tread wear. I took them in at 10k miles for a rotation and intended to do another at 20k. I'm now at 20k miles and they've got nothing left. Don't waste your money unless you find enjoyment in replacing tires once a year.

AltiMAX RT43

Bought these for the daughters car about 1 year ago, NE Iowa driving conditions.  Bought them due to the reviews I read for overall traction especially for winter driving and wet pavement.  Overall pretty happy with the tires, they are quieter and have better overall traction then Kelley tires that I have installed on two other vehicles.  Suppose to be 65K tires so hoping they will last a long time.  We try to all our vehicle tires inflated to 35-36 psig which has helped with better mileage and not to much pressure to roughen the ride.

Noisy but Safe

These tires are noisier than average as indicated in Consumer Reports but worth it for the safety of performance. Used on a 2011 Kia Sorento two-wheel-drive SUV the noise level on most interstate highway speeds would be objectionable to people who are used to riding in luxury cars but would seem fine to jeep and older pickup truck drivers.  In my application steering is incredibly precise and very controllable under all conditions. I don't know about traction because I have never had wheel slip occur in either acceleration or braking, possibly partly because I don't tailgate in order to save fuel.

Great tire and an awesome value!

I'm no stranger to General Tires.  I have run several sets of light truck tires and have come away very pleased.  So when it came time to purchase tires for my daughter's Cruze and my wife's Outback it was an easy choice.  The Altimax RT43 came highly rated and was priced much lower than other major brands.  So far both sets have performed great in all conditions from warm and dry to snow.  There is no perceptible wear on either set.

Best Tire For The Money

These are the best tires I have ever put on any vehicle we have owned. We put them on 2 of our cars and my mother in-law has a set on her car. They ride very nicely with very little road noise on normal surfaces. They get a little noisy when the cuts on the road go against the tires(cross cutting for drainage). They have worn very well and we keep rotating them at oil changes. Traction is very good on wet surfaces and was surprised at the traction on snow and light ice road coverings. At this point until they discontinue this model, we will keep putting these tires on every car we buy.

Great SUV tires!

Installed these on my 2015 GMC Terrain and could not be happier. They have great grip on both dry and wet roads, even in icy weather. I also never feel out of control through bends on highways when driving sporty in dry conditions. They are a bit loud on rough road but so are most tires in this category. They are pretty much silent on smooth asphalt road surfaces and fairly quiet on concrete paved freeways.
