Only 3

Some damage on ends when finally delivered, was able to straighten with pliers (Shipping company was taking their time) Screws used to put together are simple machine screws, should be self starting screws like the larger ones. Had to go buy new self starting screws after the threads stripped on 4 and frustration set in. Suggest supplying getting a wood block to go under pieces while putting screws in,

Great Alternative to a Concert Pad or Wooden Foundation

I decided to tryout this Galvanized steel foundation Kit in lieu of pouring a concrete pad in a remote location. This is my 3rd Lifetime Shed, the other 2 were on Concrete in different locations. The assembly is best when added with patience. The Phillips Screws for the frame assembly should be superseded in the future by Lifetime, by either a # 2 SquareHead Screw or a # 25 TorxHead Screw. I believe it would aid the customers immensely, and reduce the frustration of the #2 Phillips bit jumping and stripping screw heads . The # 2 Phillips requires a very steady hand , pressure, and just the right bit of torque to seat the screws. The #2 Square head or Torx virtually would eliminate this issue. That stated , I still feel this is an excellent product.

Easy to setup, very sturdy and perfect base for the shed!

In looking for a base for the shed I knew that dirt just wouldn't cut it. We've seen friends shed's have issues with the doors over time when they instal the shed on the ground. I didn't want the expense and headache of pouring concrete for such a small space. I'm sure a wood platform would have worked, but I wanted something sturdy, level and that would last for decades. This fit the bill. Installation was simple. This is very sturdy and I love that I don't have to worry about this rotting or having issues with weather over the years. All hardware was included.

Expect longevity, time will tell

Pros: Easy to assemble. Easy to install depending on where you're installing it. The C-channels are very strong. Appear to be CEE channels (1 5/8" wide joists, 6" tall, uniform thickness around the C-shape) 16Ga rails and 18Ga joists. It comes with L-flashing and tape. I have yet to use it but that's convenient. Gave this 4/5 due to some of the Cons. I would like to fast-forward 20 years and tell you how it held up. That's why I picked these instead of a wood platform. Concrete was an option but this is less expensive in my area. Cons: There was some minor shipping damage at the ends of some pieces, whether joists or L-flashing (the box could be better). I was still able to assemble it. Need better instructions on the OSB plywood. Size is listed only. It should specify Exposure-1 or pressure treated OSB. Pressure treated OSB in my area is only in 5/8" thickness, not 3/4". I plan on calling to verify the OSB, type and whether there is a need for additional moisture protection (paint or some kind of plastic barrier / wrap). Notes: The ground needs to be extremely level... this is not really a "con" just a fact. The frame is very flexible to torsional twist or skewing the rectangle. I am spraying the frame with enamel coating to further rust proof it. Galvanized steel can still rust (even if it takes 20 yrs).

Sturdy

Bought this for shed. My husband and I put it together manually in beginning, then with high powered drills, you do need space for assembly. We had to trim wood to place on top for shed floor. It is also very sharp, need gloves to move once assembled. We assembled parts in garage, then moved it to patio, finished assembly, added wood. My son had to help move finished platform to final location. We leveled ground before we placed foundation-we may not have needed to that. Be prepared for shed to be high and a step is needed for access to shed, we used the pallet it arrived on and topped it with the left over flooring wood. It is holding up pretty good, but will probably rot.
