This mattress is very firm and does not pair well with an adjustable base,I bought this mattress online so it is not fault of temper pedic,but ultimately I had to send it back. Still trying to find a mattress that will replace my 89 year old mother's original temper pedic mattress she loved but they don't make their original temper pedic mattress anymore and now she has to sleep in an uncomfortable recliner because her original mattress is to worn out to sleep on and hurts her back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went to a retail store to figure out what type of bed we would like and kept coming back to the Pro-Adapt: Medium Hybrid, after trying several other options. The in store bed was obviously broke in and quite comfortable. The retailer was going to charge quite a bit more for the bed so we ordered our mattress online from Tempurpedic.com. The shipping speed was fairly fast. However the bed was not quite like the in store bed which is normal. There is a break in period for new mattresses and we are 60 days in and it still doesn't quite feel like the in store one. We are going to keep trying it for the recommended time to see if the mattress feel improves. I will say my wife and I are sleeping fine though, we just thought the break in period wouldn't take this long.

As a firm skeptic regarding super-positive reviews, I had doubts about this mattress even as I was purchasing it. But after a month I can say this mattress was a life-changing investment and five stars aren't enough! I haven't slept this well in nearly 10 years: no more waking up multiple times a night, no stiffness, and no neck or back pain. If you're on the fence, trust me, it's worth every penny!

This is our 3rd mattress purchase - We bought our first two queen mattresses over 15 years ago and they are still great. Just bought a new home and needed a new mattress - king size. Not enough time to tell you about the AMAZING customer service I got from Hicks when I was placing my order in the middle of a pandemic - but he was THE most helpful, knowledgable, and very nice person I've ever talked to in a professional customer service call - ever! The delivery was held up, understandably, because of the virus, but when it finally was delivered, the delivery men were the best. Professional, friendly and efficient (also, under stress of the pandemic). And, finally, my review of the mattress - couldn't be better. Exactly what we wanted (I have many orthopedic issues from an accident that I had years ago) and just as comfortable as the Tempur-Pedic we have been using for years. This company, employees, and it's product are just the best - will always come back when I need anything sleep related :)

My wife & I finally replaced our old, old sleep number mattress with the TEMPUR-ProAdapt Medium Hybrid. The coil-layer sounded like what we were looking to strike a balance between too firm and too soft and it was clearly the right choice. I used to wake up in pain due to misalignment, but not anymore! I could go on but you get the idea: it's worth the investment!

It had just the right amount of support, including edge support, and nothing felt as amazingly comfortable as it did. We tried to convince ourselves to buy something less expensive but in the end decided to make an investment in our sleep health. We have no regrets.

The delivery was excellent. I have had TEMPUPEDIAC beds for the last 15 years. The product is as expected. The out gassing process (smell) was quick, only a week. I got the medium hybrid thinking it would be between medium and firm. It is not as firm as I would like but comfortable.

My wife and I live physical lives and are very fit. We purchased the firm option and its definitely not a bed you can just jump into as it feels like jumping on wood. That being said, as you lay in it, the mattress molds to your body in the most perfect manner. After a few weeks it does soften a bit but not in a bad way. Our sleep is phenomenal with absolutely no more night disturbances or tossing and turning. If you've had it with soft plush beds that leave you feeling sore each day I cannot recommend this one enough. So worth the extra dollars. Best investment we've made.
