I have the WG184. If you are short (I'm 5 ft 6 inches), this is not for you. It's way too long and a little heavy (I had to use a shoulder strap from one of my bags). Also, batteries run hot so are not chargeable until they cool down (charger light is red so won't charge). Motor may be too strong for the .08 line as it always breaks and the feeder doesn't work all the time. The way it works is the motor stops spinning and before it completely stops, it feeds line out of the spool. It doesn't always work. Wheel for edging elevates the motor too high so little hard to balance and edge the grass nicely. And since the motor sits high above the ground, the line needs to be at maxed out distance where the blade cuts it. With the feeding mechanism not always working, this makes edging the grass a pain in the axx. Overall everything works but just not that well. It does have power. Going back to my Black & Decker which isn't as powerful but it works well. Batteries are old so needed to buy new batteries so instead I bought the Worx at Sam's Club. I also have the 3 tool Worx combo (blower, trimmer/edger, hedge trimmer). Hedge trimmer works well (buttons layout could be better), trimmer/edger light as my old B & D but has the same issue as the WG184 with the wheel elevating the motor too high from the ground, The blower is awesome but the on/off switch is a dial so hard to switch on and off. Overall having the Worx tools for about 2 years and the B&D about 10 years, I like the B & D much, much better. Also I had to replace the WG184 under warranty because there was something wrong with connections of the poles that the thing would not power up (maybe the contacts were bad). There is power as the green lights on the batteries are lit but the motor just won't turn on. This is my first experience with Worx products and probably my last.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It take a little to get use to the length and weight to it, but once you are going it works great...the edger needs a little more to be desired. I am only saying this as a heads up it's lenth with it's weight may be a little more challenging for some. They do as I found out after the purchase provide a trimmer that is adjustable. That would of been a first choice.

I used it for the first time. It works great. The only problem is the automatic feed line does not work. I do like to do yard work and over the years I have bought items from your company and I like them all. My husband has a bad back so it is hard for him to do the yard work that he used to do. Your tools make it easy for me to use and do the yard work he can no longer do.

I bought this trimmer to replace a less expensive and very old battery operated trimmer that broke. This one is FAR better. It has a lot more power so even gets in between rabbit wire and the fence behind it to cut grass overgrowth. Edging works great too.

Works well like the heavier line for edging.what I don’t like is you can’t shorten length like my 20v it’s too long. The other issue is it doesn’t have the turn and lock/unlock feature like my 20v. These 2 issues had I been aware of would have made me choose another. The 40v allows for more trimming time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is very easy to use. Install batteries and press button pull trigger and wack. I would now upgrade the batteries to 4.0 AH. They would last longer. I now have 3 20 volt tools so I plan on buy the bigger battery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Batteries didn't last on a 2,000 sq.ft. lawn. Granted this was my first trimming in spring so weeds everywhere. I also ran out of line, I'm not sure if the line that came in the package was just a starter one which is shorter. If it was it should've been told. It did handle everything even tall weeds and grass, very powerful. Thank goodness I bought extra batteries if not, I would have waited for it to be charged again.

I have used this once or twice to this point. The 40 v PowerShare is powerful enough to do the tard, although I have not tried all at one time. The head is adjustable to stay level with the ground and easy change between edging and walking. My biggest disappointment is the line release. I have not read the directions, but this is not bottom tap. I find myself constantly stopping and restarting to release line.

This product was so easy to assemble and use. The battery life was able to hold for even the toughest of jobs. Nice materials for easy clean-up and changing the string has not been easier. The versatility and quality craftsmanship of this product will make me be a returning customer for years to come. I love this product and cannot stop bragging about it enough to my friend and family.

I'm so glad that I purchased this trimmer. This is the 3rd Cordless Trimmer that I've purchased within 3 weeks to replace my old gas trimmer that died. I did a lot of research as it was important to find a lightweight cordless trimmer that I, as a woman, can easily maneuver especially after having undergone 4 lower back surgeries. This trimmer was super easy to assemble. I was concerned at 1st thinking the 2 batteries might add too much weight to the trimmer and I'm glad to say that I was wrong. It wasn't too heavy nor did I feel the need for a shoulder strap. It is very easy to handle and has an enormous amount of power that you control with the adjustable trigger. Even using low power this trimmer did a great job clearing brush/grass and the batteries lasted a long time before it was time to recharge. The engine is quiet and it's very easy to advance the line. I have a large yard a portion of which is very hilly which is hard to reach with my lawn mower but this little gadget made the job a breeze. I let my dad try it today and now he just ordered the exact same trimmer for his property. I highly recommend this trimmer.
