[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very reluctant on purchasing this battery operated weed eater as I've always used gas powered ones. A couples guys from work recommended it, so I said what the hack I'll get one and try it out. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I'm surprised at the power this has and the batteries last a long time. I mow some yards as a side business and I can trim 2 or 3 before the batteries need recharged. Great product.

I have used the trimmer for about 3 weeks now. The guard keeps my jeans/shoes from turning green. The batteries do not last long enough for any major work, which I do. I would recommend this for people w/a small area to keep trimmed and can be completed in 25-30 minutes. A second set of batteries is a must if doing a larger area -- and you must be near an electrical source to recharge the batteries for 35-40 minutes.

I love this trimmer. I have tried gas trimmers, and the maintenance that goes with that is too much for me. Buy a battery trimmer and try it out. Better yet buy this one. The only complaint I have is that the batteries don't last long enough. It's long enough to do 1/4 acre but it starts to weaken at the end.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an item that seems top of the market and unique. I bought it for my mom and for me to take care of her yard. It is wonderful. I got a black and decker item first (usually love them) but returned it for this item. Much better! This one dosen't stop sensitively and gets close.

For someone who is accident-prone in the yard, this cordless trimmer is a godsend! I saw it on TV first and then noticed my neighbor had it. She does all their yard work, as she says her husband can't edge to save his life. We both agree it is so lightweight any woman can easily use it. I love having the two batteries as having just one would not get me through my chore of edgining my sidewalks and driveway. I was a bit leary when I saw the instructions, which are all graphic, but the thing just pops together and you turn it on. I immediately bought extra spools to use.

Received the 40v trimmer yesterday & unhappy that the shafts length wasn't ajustable like the 20v model. My husband likes it ok, but too long & awkward for me. I had thown the box out & assembled it before I knew it wasn't ajustable. MY BAD..I just assumed the only difference was one uses one 20v & the other two 20v. I wish I'd gotten the smaller 20v model.

Assembly seems pretty simple, thankfully, because the install manual is pretty worthless, Why not post videos online of things like installing the wheels for edging? At some point I might increase my rating, but for now, since I've not used it yet, I can only comment on assembly instructions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this machine in August, but haven't gotten it out of the box until recently. I've used it a few times and it has worked wonderfully. However, yesterday I went out to use it after charging up the batteries. It was all set to go, but for some reason it was stopping and starting. I am very frustrated because the machine is brand new! Does anyone know what might be the problem? I have literally only used it twice to edge the driveway.

I bought this a week ago, the trimmer would be fine if the stupid string worked better, it hangs up constantly I was using it this morning and had to stop 3 times in less then 30 minutes, take the roll out and unwind it by hand because it was always under the rest of the roll, this is ridiculous as much as I had to pay for this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ran Out of Spool during my 1st yard trim. I've only had this trimmer for 1week. My yard is only .25 acres. returning product asap. Hmm, lifetime spool replacement is not offered for this particular model.
