Bought the portable AC for my 10x10 well house, which is foam insulated that is also used as storage. Was going to go with a mini split, but decided to give this a try since its half price of a mini split. The unit works well, cools well for a small room. App connectivity is nice. The problem is the way they have the hot air exhaust designed, which must be routed outside through a window or other opening. That causes all the air to be sucked out of the room and blown outside. (Similar to the clothes dryer at your house ) That creates a very negative pressure situation in a highly sealed building, so its trying to suck air from any available crack or opening, also sucking the door shut so its hard to open with it running. That causes the hot dirty outside air to be sucked into the building, creating a constant cycle of having to cool the hot outside air being drawn in, in turn causing the unit to constantly run... repeating the vicious cycle. Not very efficient. I will be returning it to buy the mini split. For an outside covered porch or similar situation, it probably works well. Tight rooms, its not a good setup.

Bought to cool my master bath/bathroom when the a/c in the house went out. Set it to the lowest temperature that it never reached, so the unit ran continuously and loudly, which rendered the auto setting useless. I'm normally a cold-natured person that doesn't require a lot of a/c, so I was shocked that I was still uncomfortable and sweating even though it ran non-stop! It's big, cumbersome and not cost-effective. Should've shopped around. Found a compatible unit elsewhere for about $100 less. Will return if I can get help loading it back into my car. It's terribly heavy. 😔

The fact that is it a Wifi enabled AC unit under $400 should say a lot. The company "Midea" has horrible customer service. They will not help you out with anything, instead just tell you to take it back wherever you purchased it from. In my case Sam's club. Our AC unit stopped working within 3 weeks of purchase. All lights were blinking and it was beeping simultaneously. The code 8.8. blinked with it. Couldn't turn off unless completely disconnected from wall. Once plugged back in it did the same thing. Midea did not care to deal with it and Sam's Club customer service either never answers or keeps you on hold for 40 minutes trying to find an answer then clicks. I can take it back in however since there's none in stock I have to wait to have it delivered. Despite paying for warranty w/ Sam's we will just have someone come and look at it here then having to haul it there. Am started to hate Sam's Club and it's products more and more.

This ac is very loud, constantly shuts off and on even when it's set on "continuous". Fills up with water and has to be drained VERY quickly. Will not run if full.. code P1! Had to put unit on a stand and connect hose to drain into a container just so it runs all night. I would NOT recommend this ac!!

very loud! tried to see if manufacture could help and they said it's normal for the air compresor to be loud but I know what it is supppose to sound like and it's not ment to be this loud, now because I tried to get them to help and they refuseed it's too late to return product.

We have a Midea dehumidifier in our basement that has worked well for several years so I took the plunge on a larger air conditioner. It does blow cold air, however it does not leave our room that cold (around 74). In addition, its VERY glitchy. The power goes on and off. This morning I was awoken at 4:45am by a loud blinking noise similar to a car blinker. I looked over and saw the unit flashing on and off. I unplugged it and went back to bed. I am not sure if the electrical is bad. We have only had it for just over a month and only just started using it. I would not buy this unit again. Ohh the last thing, it is a lot larger and heavier than I imagined.

I bought 2 of these units. They work great, but there's one big problem that Midea needs to fix. One unit was leaking water all over the floor; after opening the top port, no water came out, so I opened the middle drain port, but nothing came out. I left a hose connected to the middle port for a week, but the container it was supposed to be draining into was dry, and I was still getting puddles beneath it. I took it apart and found a disconnected hose between the pump and the drain port. After reconnecting, it drains into the container, and no more puddles. My second unit was getting P1 errors, so I plugged a hose into the middle port to drain into a 7-gallon container. Like the other unit, the container was dry, and the P1 error returned after draining from the very bottom drain. I took it apart and found the same hose disconnected as the other unit. This seems like it would be a cheap and easy fix during manufacturing: add some type of hose clamp or even a small cable tie to both ends of this hose. Otherwise, they have been excellent for heating and cooling my apartment in Texas. I love being able to turn them on from my phone when I'm on my way home from work. I also noticed a dramatic decrease in my electric bill after replacing my old Black and Decker portable AC with these. I'll try to add a picture of the clear rubber hose inside that has popped off on both units, so hopefully, the manufacturer can find a cheap and easy fix.

I installed it in a room less than 10'x 10' and it barely cools. It is good to refresh the room.

Very loud! Called company 2 times never called back

It works good, But the fan is very load and has a ting sound like it is hitting something. I have had quieter AC's. I tried changing the fan speeds, no luck.
