Totally skipping the quality of the tuna and going right to the weight of the product I found that there was only 3.594 oz of tuna in a can, and not 4.0 ozs. as labeled. The 3.94 ozs. includes some water as I was unable with this experiment to extract all the water. Just as well though because the Tuna Fish has some water in the fish meat and ist is a fair representation. What prompted this little quest was that I found and older can of Starkist tuna (not expired) and when I opened the can there was obviously more tuna in the older can then the current purchase at Sam’s Club. So, I started weight out the products. Total weight of the Can with water and tuna was 6.148 ozs. Total weight of the partially squeezed tuna was 3.594 ozs. leaving a total water and tin weight of 2.554 ozs. The important thing to remember is that YOU ARE NOT GETTING 4.ozs. of tuna as labeled. I would not recommend this product.

Description is in error, but The package label is correct, which says it does contain soy bean oil, which is “SOY“ We personally like the Genova yellow fin tuna packed in “Olive oil“ which we are ordering for delivery now.

Once the oil is removed, the can is less than 2/3 full of tuna. Also, the texture of the fish is almost like it was run through a macerator. It’s mealy and mushy. The fish had a very strong fishy smell which is uncommon of modern canned tuna.

received this in a mail order I placed and the outside wrapping was a little tacky so I took it off and found all 12 cans was SO VERY STICKY I had to put them in the sink and actually scrub them with an sos pad just so I could put them in my cabinet and not get every thing else sticky WOW it was a mess I had to force them apart they were stuck together so tightly from what ever was on them that you could pick 1 up and get 3 to 4 OMG not sure what was dumped on them but will NOT order through the mail again!

I cannot believe this product actually has 5 star reviews. The fish itself smells bad and is in small flakes. That is, very small. It is like cat food. In fact, I did not consume the one can I opened and I gave the rest to a neighbor who feeds feral cats. This is the nastiest tuna I have ever experienced. There was so much liquid in the can, that when I pressed out the flakes it was much less than half a can of tuna.

We prefer tuna in oil, so we drain the oil when making sandwiches or tuna dip(with sliced cucumber and wheat thins. Our quick meal fix is to pour tuna and oil over hot rice, stir in soy sauce and eat with pickled ginger. We also like it with Japanese sweet potato. It is NOT keto friendly as it is made with soybean oil which is high in phytates and can cause inflammation.

Every can had scales or bones both in some cans, I opened 12 cans ,I will never buy this tuna again
