I've been fighting Canada thistle in our beds for 4 years. We had a literal infestation. They were taking over the beds. Roundup frequently didn't kill them completely. I tried Ortho® Groundclear® Weed & Grass Killer last year on the thistle and I can tell you, it kills them root and all. Once one has been sprayed it doesn't come back. Period. I've finally got the Thistle Solution. I love seeing them shrivel up and go limp just a half hour or so after spraying. The net day they are dead as doornails.

After much researched, I realized the only sure way to fight it was to kill it outright and replant with new seed. Ortho "Ground Clear" killed it quickly and new grass seed is now growing!

Before using the new product, I'm a fan of the roundup products, but the complaint was the roundup doesn't take the nutsedge. So I was intentionally testing this product to the nutsedge. To be surprised, it worked pretty well and fast, around 3 days the nutsedge was knocked down and dying. Pros: powerful, works for both grassy weed and nutsedge. Cons: To treat a large area, you need to use this product a lot more comparing to the roundup product.

I am planning to relandscape several more area and will use this product if necessary.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One thing I have learned about using these Weed Killers is to follow the instructions closely. Make sure that you apply it during the proper temperature and mix it correctly. This one worked just as good or better than the other brands. I just mixed it in my sprayer bottle and sprayed it on according to the instructions. The weeds are gone and I don't have to worry about pulling weeds throughout the year. I am ready for the next application, but in the meantime, I will be able to do other things that do not involve pulling weeds.
