The quick-kill, dual-action formula starts working immediately as one ingredient kills on contact while the other penetrates deep into the plant to kill all the way down to the roots. Sprayed weeds usually begin to wilt within hours after being treated, with weeds completely killed in 1 to 2 weeks.</p> <h3>Maximum Control–Fast</h3> <p>Achieve maximum weed control with this weed and grass killer around landscape areas, patios, walkways and driveways. Excellent product.  Been using it for years and it eliminates the weeds by the next day, or even sooner.  Makes weed killing easy on my acre.

Easy and fast weed elimination!

I purchased this product about a month ago and I applied it with the sprayer provided with the product.   I followed all directions as posted on the product  packaging. In the past I've used both organic and non-organic grass/weed killers and the non-organic type have always performed better than the organic type. But I wanted to use this in a swing-set/play area in my back yard so I thought that I would give the Ortho a try...WOW was I ever surprised …within 15 minuets or so after spraying, evidence of the weeds/grass starting to turn brown and shrivel was easily observable.  Within two days, all of the weeds/grass that I sprayed were brown.   I've already purchased more.  I highly recommend this product!  It performed exactly as advertised!

EXCELLENT PRODUCT..PERFORMED EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Ortho GroundClear around my buildings on the farm and it kills everything it comes in contact with! Does a nice job of keeping unwanted weeds from growing up alongside the sheds! I will definitely be purchasing this product again!

Definitely Clears the Ground

I won't use anything else! Just be sure to give it a chance. I always spray at dusk when there's no or very little breeze and no rain is forecasted. Then, in the morning, I go back over the older, more established weeds. It can take a couple applications to kill the thick ones. It isn't made for tiny trees or anything with a thick, solid stem. 
Also, I see a lot of people can't get it to work. Here's what works for me.
Remove the sprayer. Make sure the cap on the jug is in the OFF position. At the end of the curly hose is a nipple cap. Push the nipple onto the cap of the jug until you hear a ‘click'. Open the arm on the sprayer until it clicks in position. Remove the tiny paper tab that engages the batteries. (If it's missing, you may have to replace the batteries.) Slide the tiny clip to the UNlocked position and turn the cap on the jug to OPEN. 
Point the sprayer away from you and close to the ground. NOW squeeze the handle while pressing the button to dispense the product.
To put it away, work the instructions in reverse.

Awesome Timesaver!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product about a month ago. I was preparing a 18” wide area for new stone between pool concrete and a fence all the way around 16'x 32' pool. This area had become overgrown with grass and weeds. I was able to easily mix the Ortho Ground Clear into a one gallon sprayer. Then sprayed the entire area which quickly killed everything and replenished the space with 6000lb of river rock. It's spring and nothing is growing up through the stones.

Quickly kills unwanted grass and weeds fast

This stuff works better than others.  Spray on and watch the weeds die within 30 minutes. Concentrate is a great value - makes about 10 gallons.

Observations / opinions.
Well, I am sorry to say I was disappointed. But if my post is here, give them credit for being open minded. 
I was surprised. Then I read some another reviews and see Ortho stated it does not work in temps over 90. Welcome to Texas Summers!  Also, I only gave it a week.  Looks like I will do another test in the fall and update on results.  
However, I doubled the ratio (20 tsp – gal) and in 2 days it was dead!  So it appears it DOES work in temp over 90 but you may have to increase the strength a bit.

Works great to kill everything but does not prevent weeds from emerging afterwards. Had new weed growth within 2 weeks after everything died off.

Kills what it sees.

Purchased on Jan 9th and very little visible results.  We bought two gallons so that is would cover all the hardscape driveway etc and we had very little results.  I paid someone to spray this for me as I am 71 and now it needs to be sprayed again.  VERY DISAPPOINTED.  The wand did work but that is all

DID NOT WORK AS EXPECTED

Very disappointed. I sprayed weeds in one bed of dirt and grass to start a new bed. After spraying 3 times over almost 3 weeks, I still have a fair amount of green grass and weeds. UGH! I used the one that was already mixed and had a wand, so I know it wasn't that I didn't put in enough concentrate.
